Yeah slide that Klein to the side, and HIGHLIGHT the IDEAL. Now if they would have made this IDEAL with the tight sight screen on the bottom it would be one heck of a deal for such a good quality product. I’m trying to get the IDEAL ordered but Lowe’s is currently out of stock. And I’ll probably just “lose” my Klein.

Nice review, as always. Which Fluke m-m would you recommend for a low voltage technician (ethernet, fire alarms, security/access control, etc)? Only those made in the US. Thanks.

Since you’re a professional and it’s your livelihood I would get a FLUKE 287 or 289 True RMS Multimeter. It’ll have everything you need and more . ( That’s Just My Opinion )

Does the Klein tools use a fuse? I bought a cheaper brand from Amazon and realized it had a fuse.

Good question, but I'm not sure. I'm going to say yes, because 99.9% of all electrical testers have fuses.

Thanks for another comparison. Ideal looks a little more rugged for sure. Would you say the NCV tester on the Ideal is as accurate/sensitive as a stand alone non contact voltage tester? Accord to Klein the ET250 also has continuity tester built in.

The Klein volt/con tester is GARBAGE compared to the IDEAL. I have the Klein, and the leads just slip out during use, the leads stay put on the ideal. I can’t believe Klein released this tester with sub-par leads. There is nothing worse than trying to position yourself for a reading only to find out the leads have worked their way out.

No but most torque settings are located on the package or on the device.
