Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to do this when I first purchased this laptop. It's been several years now and I've watched this video several times. Thanks to your video, I'm ready to tackle this upgrade. Without rushing it took me about 43 minutes to install 500 GB SSD and an additional 16GB RAM. (Total 20GB) The cloning of HDD was actually much more difficult than this. Thank you!

Not sure. My advice is put the SSD to the DVD slot because the original HDD slot is have some shock protection.

It does cap the speed! You shouldn't do it this way! Put your SSD in place of the old HDD and put the HDD in this contraption...You want the SSD to be your boot drive. Why even do this?

It's a crapy manufacturing logic when they added 4GB integrated.....motherboard supports 16 GB but we can add just 8GB which will have a total of12 gb

Its better to Clean install the windows to the SSD and move other files to the HDD.. So when we boot the laptop.. It will boot FAST AF.... Its better to replace the Main HDD with that SSD and use the HDD in the caddy as an Secondary Storage device or another drive..

Great video, I have a few questions I have an ideapad 330 with 4 GB onboard ram. I was thinking of making it 12GB ram by adding a 8GB in the one and only vacant ram slot available. Is this recommended, many people tell me that you should keep the ram evenly split for example two 4GB ram paired together. I would like your opinion on this if 12 GB is suitable what 8GB ram would you recommend me to buy.

@@Hook99999 Awesome stuff man, how is the performance like with the upgraded ram is it like a night and day difference. I currently only have a SSD drive in mine, still saving up cash for the 8GB ram.
