Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to do this when I first purchased this laptop. It's been several years now and I've watched this video several times. Thanks to your video, I'm ready to tackle this upgrade. Without rushing it took me about 43 minutes to install 500 GB SSD and an additional 16GB RAM. (Total 20GB) The cloning of HDD was actually much more difficult than this. Thank you!

KL Gamers Gta v will use more ram after a few minutes so it will use the hard disk and you will experience lag. I think using a ssd instead will give you better performance.

It does cap the speed! You shouldn't do it this way! Put your SSD in place of the old HDD and put the HDD in this contraption...You want the SSD to be your boot drive. Why even do this?

Yes 2400Mhz RAM can support and will auto run at 2133Mhz If you use windows 10 and experience slow speed you need to upgrade the RAM to total minimum 8GB and most important must use SSD ( install windows 10 ) to experience major increase in speed

usually you cannot set it raid. After you install the SSD you still need to format and reinstall the windows 10 OS into the SSD before you could enjoy the benefits. No game graphics improvements but have improve loading times and less lagg issues.

@@tomasbarbieri2659 He connected the new SSD using the caddy instead of removing the the main Windows installed HDD... Its better to Clean install the windows to the SSD and move other files to the HDD.. So when we boot the laptop.. It will boot FAST AF.... Its better to replace the Main HDD with that SSD and use the HDD in the caddy as an Secondary Storage device or another drive..

@@riteshsinnarkar8176 correct, i had tested exact model with an 16Gb module. After this the laptop will have a blank start without any boot .So yea, we can add a maximum of 8Gb DDR4 on the slot . It's a crapy manufacturing logic when they added 4GB integrated.....motherboard supports 16 GB but we can add just 8GB which will have a total of12 gb
