Those are so nice. The combination of the attractive finish, beveled bezel, black trim around the grille and tasteful cloth in the perfect hue make these some of the most handsome speakers I’ve seen. Well done.

I restored a curb-score pair of New Large Advents with the 5012 tweeter. Loved them, but I prefer to listen to SE tube amps and horns, so I sent them down the road. Now I'm getting ready to do a restoration on a set if KLH 5's that a friend is gifting to me. Probably not to keep, but just for the hobby and satisfaction of restoring a classic. Thankfully I won't have to replace surrounds.

Beautiful setup,. Is that a Pioneer Pl-530 turntable you got? I have that turntable with the model 5s powered by a Marantz 2325 right across the bridge from you in NJ

How did you repair the corners? My grandson pushed my speaker over and damaged the corner.

Wood epoxy with a dark brown dye seems to work well.

Mids can use treatment on the surrounds as well and should be sealed the woofers should leek a little. Nice

This is a pretty dated vid. Since then I have found another set and documented the entire restoration on my channel. Doping the mids completely sealed the midrange sub enclosures which was nice.

I've been recommended the KLH sound. These look gorgeous. Did they make any smaller speakers for condos, with similar look. I like those grills.

Ben Hase thanks! I’m in a condo. Listening space is 7’ from speakers, with a wall behind me. Speakers are 2’ from wall and 5’ apart. Bass is an issue. I’m concerned about the 6 because of the extra cab space vs the 17 or 33. Is it just a matter of less bass with the smaller or is the sound quality better in the bigger cab. Maybe I get away with it because of my room

I’ve owned KLH model 32 smaller bookshelf speakers since early 1970. They still sound great without ever having been reconed.

I ve got a pair of these as a Gift for helping by a relocation. Can you tell me with how much power i can use it, now i use a cheap 70W digital amplifier.i realized that i hear the bass in the next room better as in the playing room.

@@NovaluxStereophonic ,i know that the volume is the Killer,but for safe use ,..oh my Kids..,i try to find a solution. Btw,70 W seem to be enough.i have another pair of older Speakers,think of using them parallel.will see which model they are.
