fyi, both klia express and transit are operated separately starting 3 january onwards as the covid situation in malaysia stabilises. the express train goes directly between kl sentral and the airport while the transit train stops at every station along the way. with the express train, the journey to klia1 and 2 will take about 28 and 33 minutes respectively from kl sentral.

@@thebiannualtravellers your welcome. just a correction at the new viaduct upon approaching Putrajaya: it is actually the new MRT line coming from the KL CBD, not the ETS train. the ETS train actually runs from Padang Besar in the north to Gemas and later Johor Bahru in the south.

The thing that i like about klia transit is the track used is different from the ones in KTMB Commuter & ETS lines.(1000mm) ERL uses the wider track (1435mm) which is the same as high speed train tracks like in Shinkansen, tgv, etc. Thats why they are more stable at higher speed. But sadly the costs to build and replace the current ones are too high so they decided to retain the 1000mm design until now. I wonder if only KTMB had enough funds to build new tracks for all KTMB lines, for sure that would be a different story .There would've been more efficient and more frequent train to cater the passenger everyday.

Hi, you can buy the ticket on the spot using the ticket machines or via online platform such as klook. This train serves both KLIA 1 & 2, but both are different stations to alight.

Hi, KLIA Express no stops in between KLIA and KL Sentral, but KLIA Transit has 3 stops in between. KLIA express takes 28 minutes from KLIA 1 to KL Sentral, while KLIA transit takes 35 minutes from KLIA 1 to KL Sentral.
