The successor to Klim’s K Fifty 1 is here: the aptly named K Fifty 2. Leaner, meaner, and cut like Levi’s 501s, these heavy duty Cordura denim jeans are DuPont™ Kevlar® lined at critical areas. Zippered pockets carry D3O EVO knee and hip armor provide CE level impact protection rounded out by Poron XRDA at the tailbone. Are they stealthy? You bet. Klim’s taken care to hide giveaway seams. Other features include a YKK zipper and subtle Klim logo details.

Was at the Revzilla store today and tried these. Absolutely loved them except for one glitch that Klim needs to fix as that was prevalent in the Fifty one as well. No matter how much I adjust the knee ads to the outer side, once seated there in little protection for the outer side of the knee. The knee protective pads fit more towards the inside of the knee touching the tank whereas they need to be more centered on the knee to provide adequate protection on both sides. Klim or Revzilla, if you are listening, this needs to addressed as this really the best jean on the market right now. I know it's not just me because if you check the review on Revzilla for the Fifty one, you'll see some reviews mentions the same issue. Hope they fix it soon. Thanks.

You miss the most important point, what safety standard are they certified to?

These jeans came out nearly 4 years before the safety certification (A, AA, AAA) even existed. We do talk about the armor's rating in the video though, but not the standard that didn't exist at the time.

If you have an Alpinestars jacket with a waist connection zipper, I recommend getting Alpinestars pants, so that you get the added protection of the jacket-pants connection zipper. -DrewZilla

What color are the K Fifty 2’s shown? Anthony said “medium blue”, but the Revzilla website lists a ‘Stealth Blue’ and a ‘Dark Blue’, and these look like the Stealth Blue version. I don’t see the color listed in the description either. Would you mind clarifying?

Which pair (K51 or K52) fits better for a sport bike rider? I ride a ‘13 R1 and my normal jeans articulate well but the cuffs are usually up above my boots when I get off the bike.

Does the mesh lining make them cooler during summer? Also how do these jeans compare to the resurgence voyager jeans?

Yes, the mesh lining does help during the summer. We don't carry Resurgence, so it's hard to make a good comparison, but looking at the specs, both are functionally very similar. -DrewZilla

Klim only makes sizes down to 30. At 5:09 I see that the butt area is not completely covered by the yellow sliding material. Why is that?

You're seeing the jeans flat, but when worn, that center portion below the tailbone protector actually isn't as prone to sustained heat. Keep in mind that the denim itself is Cordura Denim, which already has good abrasion resistance. The Kevlar acts as a heatsink to allow the outer Cordura Denim to stay cooler in a slide, thereby increasing its abrasion resistance even more. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/klim-k-fifty-2-jeans

Not sure I understand. Why not cover a slide prone area completely with the yellow Kevlar? The gap is very odd. Can you recommend a riding jean with excellent protection and full bottom coverage? Thank you.
