Of course! Keep in mind if your turning stock has a high moisture content then you'll be doing this a lot as it dries. CA is a great way to fill small voids and cracks

You said tour wife glues the tops on. Most bird houses need to be cleaned out each season because some birds will use a old nest. Is that not the same for humming bird houses ??

No, most small birds, don't poop in the bird house or their nest. When the offsprings poop, in the nest, the parents, wait till it dries up then they throw it out. And when a new bird couple move into the bird house, the next season,, they just nest in it as is because they don't need to build a new nest in it. Small birds build their nest in the strangest places, one time I seen a wen bird build its nest inside the square pipe of a bulldozer.🧐🧐🧐

Many people put decorations in there yard all the time. And people do buy them thinking hummingbirds will use them like my wife for one. lol

Creating an opportunity is not the same as "actual" creating; however, the little birdhouse does serve as a work of "miniature birdhouse art". It's just my expression of frustration with political correctness; like calling what's presently going on in the Ukraine a "crisis" when it should be referred to as an invasion, war, and an unnecessary killing of humanity. Sorry to let my emotions get the better of me... I really do appreciate your skill and like your design.

I also make Hummingbird homes and I can tell you a hummingbird will not make a nest in a man made home. I tell my buyers this and that the chances of a hummingbird nesting in one of these may be 1 in a million. they are decorative only.
