I made this video because at the moment I had nothing better to do. I didn't edit it so it doesn't look very professional. When I watch clips on here I get annoyed by the sometimes cheesy intros and always just skip over them. To me it's just a waste of time especially since none of my videos are sponsored. Just for entertainment.

Interesting video, thanks for sharing. Have had a lot of audio gear over the years, and the older, used stuff is such a good value. That receiver is a tank with unbelievable sound and build quality, and can be had for pennies on the dollar. I have the RX-V2095 and it sounds great. Love the A/B speaker switching to compare different speakers.

Hi Steven. Thank you for your comment. Yes, I'm very happy with the RX-V1. I had other Yamaha Receivers before and I liked every single one. The RX-V1 was the one I always wanted. I think Yamaha really put everything they had into this one at the time. Internal copper isolation plates to keep the various boards from interfering is just about the icing on the cake. I can't think of any other Receiver or Amp that has such expensive case components. I actually owned 3 of the V1's. The previous were the black versions. The only flaw theses receivers have is over time they start randomly cutting channels out. There are tons of info all over the internet regarding the source of that and possible fixes. Then I've heard somewhere the gold colored version of this Receiver had a stricter quality control at manufacturing due to the somewhat higher price. Not sure if that's true, but a few years back I found this one in almost new condition. It just served as a backup for someone who had all McIntosh Gear as his main components. And he sold me this one for 200.00 That's less than the average Walmart Plastic junk boxes cost. I own it now for almost 10 years and use it every day for several hrs, either watching movies or listening to music in stereo. It has not had a single hick up. And when I watch movies I'm not shy about running this thing at high volume levels. But no matter how much I push it, it hardly even gets warm. I wish this will last me forever, it's all I ever need.
