I recently purchased 4 Klipsch speakers, including two RP-280Fs, and so have been calling the Klipsch consumer information line with a number of questions. Calls are taken in order; you may have to wait a little while. Once connected, the guys are knowledgeable and patient. I asked about the Klipsch Horns, and was told that they are still being manufactured. If you want to know if the the speakers inside the cabinets have been updated, just ask! I heard a pair, in an average sized room, many years ago. The sound was, well, 'effortless' even when loud, because the speakers are so very efficient that they don't have to work as hard as other (less efficient) speakers. Being relatively tall and big / wide, the individual sound sources are spread out. My friend who owned them, said that of the electrical power sent to the speakers, the result is a 50% ratio of conversion to: horsepower / sound energy! (I've never heard that comparison anywhere else, even with loud rock bands! I suppose that it's a valid energy conversion!) He cranked up Edgar Winters' "Frankenstein" and it was really loud! And didn't sound distorted, tho at some point, it can begin to be hard to tell (perhaps the ears themselves are distorting!).

Then you will lose the deep bass. The corner completes the horn for the deep bass wavelengths.

Yes it does. I could hear the increase in presence when he got close to the left and right speaker. Klipschorns are so smooth and natural they don't sound like ordinary speakers. They reproduce music.

У меня две пары: Tannoy-637 и Mission34i , купил их лет 10 назад (850 долл.). Они по-разному подают звуковую картину, но обе меня устраивают. Как и недорогие УНЧ Onkyo A-9010 & Rotel RA-10 .

Ну не все слушают на компьютерных системах .я например слушал в наушниках биердинамик 1990 .и у многих есть не плохие наушники.для этих целей а музыку уж прослушиваем конечно же только на свенах))) свен это вообще ультра хай энд если ты не знал любезный.

@@twistedhillbilly6157 Excuse me, just listen to this video while scrolled down into the comment area so you DO NOT see the screen. Do note, the sound is anchored and not showing ANY MOVEMENT...... I did this kind of video with my Klipschorns, and got close to the drivers, you get to hear the mid horn and the tweeter TAKE OVER the whole presentation !!! Too many videos are like this with their DIRECT from the source playback............VERY misleading !!!

No it is not . Solo piano is one of the best tests for a speakers transient response which contributes to the realism and naturalness of the sound. I play a Steinway grand piano and the Klipschorn sounds more realistic than any other speaker there is.

I disagree. It's flawed I will grant you but not pointless. You and I are watching stuff like this on KZbin. Therefore we can compare for what it's worth what we are hearing through that medium. It's not like being in the room with the equipment, but it is an indicator of quality, or non quality. A good pair of experienced ears can discern that easily.
