Ive always liked and own old school speakers because of the horns the tweeters have (changing controller inside to a more modern one always helps bring new life to them)... try them with a movie your jaw will drop esp when the musical score plays to really isolate them watch a movie in stereo or just LCR channels!! Thanks for highlighting old school stuff🙌

Nice review! I have the latest Heresy iv & Klipsch added a rear port which lowers the bass exension 10 more hz. With room gain and my Outlaw amps the bass has been a pleasant surprise. Everything else you describe is spot on as far as the clarity, separation & how large these small speakers sound. As with other Heritage speakers the sound is very "live." Most of the music I listen to doesn’t go deeper than the mid 40s which these can handle due the port. But when needed my SVS SB3000 (sealed) sub blends in very nicely. You are right about treatment too, I had to invest in a good amount of absorbers & some diffusers due the layout of my listening area. A thick rug also helps (for my tile flooring). Amazing speakers which I look forward to enjoying for a long time.

I had the 2-3 gen models in the 80’s and you would love these in a home theater environment!!! There was a system with these in a 5.1 setting of 5 heresy for LCR and Rear….it was one of the best sounding 5.1 setups I ever heard….

I couldn’t afford these speakers but they are still being made to this day. These are 99db 40/20k titanium tweeters compression mids 12” LF HF 4500/Mid F 850 116db is why this speaker is still being made. A nice sub is needed. I would recommend a sub that you can use the high connectors running to your amp. These will be around for a long time they’re what Klipsch cut their teeth on. But another good video and I am pleased to see you review them.

I forgot to mention that since you like the Heresey's you should look at the Fortes and Cornwalls too.

It was originally designed to be used as a center channel to widen stereo audio. They do really well in a home theater as well. A sub is absolutely necessary. The sensitivity on these are amazing!

You are correct !!! Let me add the Subwoofer was also created in the 1930s by the inventor of Stereo. Stereo was designed on a rear projection principle similar to light that is why the angle works best.

My Klipsch Rp -280f have that tilt that kind of leans the tower speaker back at the listening position aswell

Yep those where Fun!!! That effect is actually the original intent of Allen Blumlein, America changed the concept!! Larsen and a few other manufacturers work from that design principle I modify others like definitive technology that method fixes time and coherence problems

I believe the predecessor to the Heresey was Klipsch's second speaker. They were known by another name until the late '60's or early '70's. Heresey's are still around in their 4th iteration and are part of the Klipsch Heritage series. They are a 3 way speaker with a woofer, a midrange(aka squaker?), and a tweeter. The one's you have are Heresey 1's. All of the Heritage series are way better than all but the best of the Klipsch 2 way speakers. I have a pair of Heresy 1's in a 5.1 system that I love.

I think if you put the klipsh in the corner left and right and remove those beautiful kefs speakers out of the way the bass would be deeper.
