I like the cardboard boxes. My speakers showed up undamaged. That's what matters.

I bought online. Mine came double boxed. So long as it works, I don't care. The box is going into the attic anyway for future moves.

@@kevingray8616 awesome bro! I love mine. I ended up getting the big brother version R28-PFs. I moved the shorties to a bedroom. I'm incredibly blown away by the crisp sound that Klipsch produces. Certainly no regrets!
@kevingray86164 жыл бұрын
@@coreybol5408 Very nice. Those are similar to my L/R passive speakers in my media room. I have a 5.2.4 ATMOS setup. Floor speakers are all Klipsch Reference. Ceiling mounts are Yamaha and came with the house. I went with the R-41PM set for my office desk. Plenty big enough for computer speakers. Barely fit on my main desk given I have a massive Dell UltraSharp 49 Curved Monitor. I also went with a R-8SW subwoofer for my office. It provides the "warmth". I don't really need it to thump and be extra heavy. I'm plenty impressed by this R-41PM set. They almost disappear and have a very good and uniform sound field; even placed far out to the sides of my monitor and I have basically no room to toe them in. The sound seems to emanate from the screen. One problem with them is they are not working with USB and Windows 10. Common problem that I'm seeing if I can fix. I'm using an external USB DAC I had and optical instead. (might even be better than built-in Klipsch DAC) Some people complain that Klipsch is too crisp and not good with midrange for voice. Well, like all speakers you need to run them like 50-60 hours to break them in.
@coreybol54084 жыл бұрын
@@kevingray8616 I like the description of that setup for your computer. Especially with the additional low-end reinforcement. I'm glad you brought up the break-in period. I was actually unaware that it's as long as it is. Hopefully you're able to get the USB problem solved. Good luck friend!

I reckon that lackluster packaging is a result of the prevalence of online buying, where there's no need for the in-person point of purchase Wow! factor gained from a stack of boxes in a store aisle. It likely knocks several bucks off their bottom line, which helps make them more attractive price-wise.

I share to you my way. First, I played these speakers with distance 8 ft with1 Klipsch Subwoofer SWi 10 (wireless subwoofer) Then, after 1month, I used them with 1pair of Klipsch SWi 10. Wow....So amazing. I couldn't believe they can play with 2 pair of SWi 10" Subwoofer. Try it!... You will see R-51PM so powerful. Thanks

When you hook up a sub to the 51PM's do they apply a crossover to send the low freq over to the sub so they will play louder or no?

I purchase the speakers 2 weeks ago. I love them for their size and Power, they're also very clear especially with Motown /Rock music and listening to pre-recorded tapes. I managed to pair to my phone but I can't get it to pair to my Pioneer receiver for some reason. I was pleasantly surprised with the clarity and power that these little speakers produce. I wouldn't expect base at the same level as my 12-inch woofer speakers but these were decent.

Are there any good with a DubStep EDM cuz that's what I'm going to be listening to
@mystudent112 жыл бұрын
@@miraclegaming3155 the RP 600 speakers will handle anything that you want to throw it them up to 100 Watts RMS. Their reproduction is clear and crisp and if you can put out that kind of power you will not sit in the same room with them. They are extremely efficient so they won't drive your electric bill through the roof. My stereo has been on for 2 years uninterrupted except for power outages. I love these speakers and I know there are better ones or at least more costly ones, but you will be satisfied. Finally they are an investment of which can be either returned or sold.

@@mystudent11hmmm ok thanks mate do you know if they're better than the Philips fx10
@mystudent112 жыл бұрын
@@miraclegaming3155 the one thing that I have learned about listening to speakers is that it is up to the individual listener and can be influenced by the room it shaped and the things that are in it. Setting up things for your preference is the best way to do things because you will be the one listening to them. Also depending on what form of receiver you have you can increase or decrease the bass and mid-range. Because I have been an electronic technician all my life when I first saw the Klipsch speakers I fell in love with them because of the woofer. Then I spent two weeks checking out there specs. I'm sure that there are multiple speakers that sound good. It's up to you and your finances. However whatever you buy I would suggest that you look to a long-term purchase. My 40-year old 16 inch Pioneer speakers still Rock and will be connected to my PlayStation.

Awesome review, I do have a simple question. Let say I pair these speaker up to my TV do you get a sense of some left to right sound (like a car zooming L to R) or is it just consisted audio from both speakers?? I’m sure there might be a technical term for my question. Thanks
@bakerscript86824 жыл бұрын
Depends on how you connect. If you use a left/right RCA cable you should get stereo sound

Hello! You said at the end of the video that they are connected to your PC and when you turn on the computer, the speakers turn on automatically! It's clear with switching on, but what about switching off? do they have an automatic shutdown? when idle
@mystudent114 жыл бұрын
You are correct , the boxes are ugly. I bought a pair in January of this year. and that was the first thing Noticed. After connecting them and listening to them I was pleasantly pleased. However I wish there were a way to make separate amplifiers and have both speakers totally Wi-Fi instead of connected by a cable. I'm not sure if receivers or other transmitting devices would be able to work under that set up but it would certainly be wonderful if they could be separated beyond the length of a cable. If you know of a way let me know?. No one should expect these speakers to put out Blasting pounding base, but when you crank up the volume you will plug your ears. I haven't heard any hum on my speakers whatsoever.

Hi, it doesn't have its own treble/bass knobs for tweaking. Does it sound good off the box? Or do I still have to get me an amp to tweak those? Thanks
@tripppsta94443 жыл бұрын
Any discussion of 'watts vs power/sound level' is irrelevant and ignorant of how speakers work. Quality of the 'watt' and sensitivity of the speaker are the keys to clarity here. A 20 watt quality amp will rock when paired with the correct speaker.

do you know what version of Bluetooth 4.1? 5.0 etc.. and also when you connect it with USB are you connecting to USB 3.0 or 2.0? I wonder if it would make a difference. Optical connection is what you really want it connected with, so you would need a fancy sound card. I wonder why they used USB instead of HDMI? anyways thank for the review, I might buy them. One last question rather dumb to ask. You can run it with just 1 speaker correct? you never know these days.
@chriss8810004 жыл бұрын
Why sound card? The amp is allready there built in. What u want is a dac with that. A good dac makes the sound much better. Does not need to be an expensive dac. The 2$ dac in our pc, phone etc does not make a good job converting the sound.

So I got 2 dacs now, the first one is a 500$ dac, and the other is a cheap 70$ dac. And the 70$ dac does a very good job. I asked on Amazon if you need any receiver or amplifier in order to use the Klipsch R-100SW subwoofer with the Klipsch R-51PM. The answer was this: "The sub has to be connected to a receiver or amp in order to hear it! The r-51pm are bookshelf speakers which also need to be connected to a receiver or amp! Without it, you will hear, NOTHING!!!" I asked Klipsch, they said I don't need a receiver for this. Can you please advise which is the correct answer ? Thank you.

They cost 5x more than what they're worth, distortion is terrible, sound is not mud, but swamp, it's a fucking swamp sound, if you can get Klipsch for less money than they originally cost, do it, and then buy a subwoofer, because these don't make sense without a sub.
