Kliptown Gumboot Dance

Gumboot Dancing by the youth of kliptown.
We were hosted by Soweto Hotel & Conference Center in Kliptown, Soweto. Upon arrival we were introduced to the youth in the area by the hotel manager "Bra Ish (Brother Ismael I suppose). The youth separated us into smaller groups and guided us through an emotional tour of the surrounding area. It was hard to see people living in such poor circumstances. However the tour ended in a high as we were treated to this wonderful performance at the Youth Center.
