Kloee, you read me like a book. 😊 I finally started mental therapy, this passed Tuesday in fact. For all of my life I was so afraid to go to it because of how mental therapy was presented to me by my family, society, and TV shows/movies. It was labeled as a bad thing. Gameover. Stuck in it forever. Labeled as crazy. Can never amount to anything in life anymore. 😢 I honestly felt like everything in my life was shattered before and as I began to look into therapy. It was sometime after that I had a dream that I truly believed my Spirit Team was speaking to me through it. One of the characters I fought in the dream simply said this to me "All you need to do is to surrender and everything will be fine.". When I felt like I couldn't fight anymore I did just that. I surrendered. From that I believe my Spirit Team is trying to teach me a lesson that's for me to be in the eye of the storm. I have a coin that I wear as a necklace to remind myself of the lesson. On the coin it reads, "Serenity isn't freedom from the storm, it's the Peace within the storm.". So, I'm trying to trust the process, surrender to the Universe to let go of the control, and find my peace within the chaos that's happening around me. I know I can get passed all of this. My wonderful and supportive partner simply told me to look at mental therapy as another form of self-care. It's there to help me to become my best authentic self. It's nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of. So, I'm accepting I am where I'm meant to be in my life and I'm working on looking at mental therapy in a more positive lens as it's my first step to making progress in becoming my best self. Today's my last day of work until the 16th because I'm going to be on vacation all of next week. I'm going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my family, which I never been there. The beach is one of my top favorite places to be. I know I'm going to have lots of fun and perhaps I'll have plenty of time for some deep reflecting too. I can't wait to hear the waves and smell the air. 😊 By the way Kloee, I LOVE the new openings to your pick a card videos especially the beach one. Oh I needed this… normally, I’ve been a scavenger of joy, but last night I was massively triggered and it was just an overdose of everyone else’s negative crap. I fully was sobbing on my hands and knees last night… I’m struggling in my marriage…which meant my (religious) friends outcast me… that meant my usual business partner didn’t want to work with me anymore… which means I don’t have funds to leave… and though I keep showering my kids with love, for some reason they keep pushing me away… So… I normally keep my eyes up and hope alive, but there are days where the grief hits hard and I struggle to think my life will be more than this. Thanks for this. The Steller’s Jay reference hit home, as well, as I’ve found its feathers in two separate occasions …even though I’ve never seen one around here. lol (Ontario, Canada)
