Thanks for this video. It clarifies coloring for me. I never liked coloring with markers because it always showa lines that never go away. However, when I used the Stampn blends, I had a hard time staying in the lines. I definitely need to practice more with them. I never knew you could use a blender pen with watercolor pencils. I used to color with coloring pencis all of the time. But didn't have success with the watercolor ones. Thanks to your video, I now have another great way to color and look forward to using this combo on paper that can tolerate water. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you ever so much!

Jackie - thanks for the tutorial on coloring and details on the papers , coloring types, etc. it is all very informative. I need to expend on coloring. I have used the Stampin write markers on rubber stamps before stamping on card stock. That works great especially if you need to add a second small amount in a different color. I plan to try more coloring techniques when life gets a bit more normal for us . Thank you for sharing these videos. During these times especially when sheltering in place for months it is nice to be able to have a get away with a video and learn how to things . Thank you so very much for sharing this information with everyone . 👏👏👏💞

They absolutely do! You can color your stamps with the markers (you can't with the blends) you can write with them....they both have different purposes & uses!

Nice video with great tips. I have never tried pencils. Is the staz On hard to get off your stamps?
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
If you use StazOn cleaner the ink is not hard to get off the stamps. StazOn ink will stain your stamps though (which is normal)
@tsnelson42362 жыл бұрын
There are so many ways to shade and fade into different colors with the pencils. You should play more, you might learn to like them. Without much effort you can look like a skilled water color artist

Thanks Jackie. I just purchased the Stazon ink but don't have the cleaner. How am I to clean my stamps safely? Or just wait until I can get the cleaner. It wasn't available when I ordered the ink.
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
StazOn inks will stain your stamps so be aware of that...you can clean them when you get the cleaner but it may not get off as much of the ink as if you used the cleaner right away. You could try your local craft store to see if the StazOn cleaner is in stock there.

What happens if you use versamark and heat embossing? Does that help with the markers and the water color pencils bleeding?
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
Yes, because it gives you a little "ridge" to color with in.
@junestengel18 Жыл бұрын
If the Stampin Writers are water based, would blending with a brush with water or the water pen give better results? Thank you!
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis Жыл бұрын
Once you color on card stock with them, they really won’t “blend” with water. Maybe a little, depending on the color, but for the most part no because they dry quickly. But give it a try and play around and see what kind of results you get!

Do you need to use watercolor paper?
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
I shared 4 different ways of coloring in this video so I'm not sure which method you are referring to. When using water (water painting) you'll want to use watercolor paper or shimmery white. It depends on how much water you are using too. If it's a lot of water you need use watercolor paper if it's not much you can use watercolor paper or shimmery white. Stampin' Blends work best on our thick whisper white since they can bleed through but they work well on regular card stock too--just protect the surface you are working on. Hope this answers your question.

What about how to clean the water brush. I wondered if the pink color it picked up would bleed onto the next image in another color.?
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
You just rub it off on a paper towel or something before moving on to another color.
@terrischroder55562 жыл бұрын
The Memento ink bleeds when water coloring because it's a water based ink. That's why it's recommended for use with Stampin' Blends, which are alcohol based. Because the Stamp in' pads are all water based also, you can use any of those colors to stamp your images to color with the Stamping' Blends.
@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis2 жыл бұрын
Thanks....I just had never really tried it until recently.
