I've been using GBA mus riper to get the files straight from the game and then I rework them with higher quality instruments, audio effects, etc. I am being kind of lazy by not just recreating them from scratch, but it ends up sounding closer to the original this way and is much faster to do. The Moonlight Museum re-imaginings I did were done completely from scratch.
