You'd save time by going up and down instead of going around the farm fields. Shortest distance between two points is always a straight line, the longer you can get your machine to run in a straight line the faster you will complete your fields.

@@Bigsoot7393 going in circles is 10x more efficient. ive been playing the game for over 100 hours this week and i tested three methods. the most efficient is if you start in the middle of your field and then work your way out, you virtually never have a crowded corner that is caused from going on the outside lap and working your way in (if that makes sense), which causes you to never have to be turning around awkwardly to go to your next line. if you are never turning around, then you are always mowing, harvesting, seeding, etc. for a better explanation, lets take for example running parallel conduit/pipe bends. lets say the outside bend which is the largest will be 6 feet. the bend next to that is 4 feet, then 2... then you cant take any more smooth corners. if you work from the inside out, you have an infinite amount of smooth bends. the hardest part about this method is just picking the a spot in your farm that is closely in the middle to start your inside to outside path. Here is a link of parallel pipe bends to better illustrate what im referring to. i.redd.it/1kp3huoeedv61.png notice how the inside (the right) pipe has the shortest bend length, and the outside has the longest. if you run your farm from the inside-out it will be much more efficient.

You need a separate drawbar mod and it doesn’t work as easily its a big pain in the but to deal with because the workers don’t realize there is a baler on the back

After we sold everything we made from the first episode it actually put us at around 1.5 million....then after buying a bunch of new equipment we were under $600k...I promise I haven't "found or won" and money on this save...well other than what you see in this video ;)
