Here's KMart, FINALLY trying to throw money at advertising, as well as offering a new service, and they totally botch it. This ad would have been fine if instead of cheerleaders, who looked like they were legit HS girls, they'd have used something like obviously above 21 girls, but still smoking hot, models in bikinis or something like that. The commercial would still have been restricted to late night cable, but would have been fine for the time period. But Super Bowl commercials are often one and done anyway. As for the guys fondling him also would have been OK for the time period. Homosexual men would not welcome that anymore than a girl is OK with a random guy grabbing her ass. So really not an issue with homophobia, but DEFINITELY an issue after metoo. But implying any kind of welcomed pedo act? No. That is unacceptable, no question

This country took a few steps back wen we lost the only Walmart alternative we had left. And I don’t like target either, my favorite two stores, radio shack and sears are gone too. Sears was American as anything, people used to sit in their outhouses and make their Christmas wish list from sears catalogs, you could even buy a home from sears. I can still imagine going to the mall wen I first got married in 98 and going straight to tool section, I could stay there the entire time it took for wife to go shopping in the mall for two hrs. Depressing to know how many people sears helped and made happy over the years, kids ordering stuff from a sears catalog in early 1900 and saving and waiting. That’s American, and now it’s gone.
