Love it when you guys do your ultra-over-the-top fanboying reactions. I found this solo debut is too safe and a bit disappointing, especially as most of us can't help comparing with this to Tiffany's and Taeyeon's. With 3 solos of SNSD OT9's 5 vocal line, it's ironic to me, that Jessica's Fly is the most Soshi-sounding one, girl group pop, least "break-out-of-the-mould" of the 3. But like the other two's, the rest of Jessica's mini album has interesting tracks -- in Jessica's case, I can see why she went with Fly as the debut single, but her other songs are arguably better but less public friendly. Forgot to add in some qualifiers = Jessica's voice is easily one of the most distinctive ones in K-pop and the easiest one to identify in SNSD as a newbie fan, but I'm not crazy about her vocal tone/colour. She certainly contributed a lot to the Soshi sound -- OT8 definitely sounds different from OT9 -- but I prefer her voice in either smaller doses within a group like SNSD, or on a different arrangement or genre. For example, Love Me The Same and her cover of Sara Barielles' Gravity are great and suit her voice.
