That was really good finally got some faces to the names. Hood day is the shit. Me and two of my brothers started one in south side Jamaica queens. We started out in a city park and cops being cops saw there too many black young men having a good time and not fighting with each other so they had to break that shit up quick but we moved it to a state park and cats from all over started coming thru there was about 300 people one of the last ones that shit got expensive and when we saw people were coming just to get food to take home we just lost interest I guess or couldn’t afford to feed all those people and our families just recently I’ve been trying to figure out how we could do it again so guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I remember being a child riding to my grandpas house with my Mom the summer of 03, i was nowhere close to banging yet but i had an understanding of it. I remember seeing AT THE TIME what i knew to be Crip niggas ALL thru my city lowriding shooting off fireworks, blue rags and S Hats and big 5x tall tees and baggy jeans. I was enamoured. 5 years later those same dudes i saw were now my big homies and i was now one of the Keways i saw turning up on J10. Things come full circle sometimes. Alot of homies i was in flics with bacc then are no longer here and a few got life or football numbers. I got lil homies now and every year i stress the importance of pictures and videos at H60d day. I dont even remember when my hood started having hood days but it was definitely in the 2000s april 7th we didnt call it a hood day we called it "foe seven" for the Kerbys 4700 blocc everybody gonna show up wit the Kansas city Royals "KC" hats the 60s would show up as well as the villas 3700 im not active nor have I been to a hood day in quite a while.....this was a dope video memories are important.
