I'm in grade 7, and am taking Dance as an elective. Today I presented a choreography project in front of my class. I'm not a very good dancer or choreographer, but I love doing these things. When I got to the bridge, every one of the 8 12-year-old girls in my glass was crying, including me. When I finished performing, my best friend said "that song touched me so much. Thanks so much for choosing that song. Then my teacher walked up to me and told me she already knew that I was going to get an A.

I can really relate... I am friends with one of the most popular girls in my school, she is my only true friend in school. Yet I am one of the most unpopular people in school. This guy who I have to sit next to, makes fun of me the second she is gone. He calls me a loner, a joke, or an emo. The problem is, he isn't the only one. Everyone treats me like a loner, and I can't stand it anymore. Like believergoods, everyone is bystanders. And to think I did nothing to them, it isn't fair at all.

+Tracey Lynn Coulas I was in the same place you are now. I'm turning 16 in a few months, and I had to drop out of school in 6th grade; my elementary schoolmates bullied and excluded me because of how I acted in elementary due to my Bipolar. After that, I was psychosexually abused and grew so dependent on my abuser that I largely ignored school for 2 years after that. The fact that my mother died at the age of 3, then my father abandoned me, and what I formerly mentioned happened so consecutively, I felt that no one could like me as a friend and that I was unlovable. This year, with the help of talk therapy, I know I am not alone. Both girls/women and boys/men go through one or more of the things I have. I am channeling my anger and depression into my drive to create a non-profit boarding school for abuse victims, orphans, girls at risk for being a child bride, etc. It may take a few years, but it is inevitable. I'm taking all college level courses through Saylor.org for my education. I /like/ to be alone for the most part, so I'm not too social. I hope one day that will change, and I will have the friends I have always longed for. In short, the only way to stop this battle is to triumph. Once you conquer your obstacles, nothing can stand in your way. Therapy might be the most important thing for you to have right now; I don't know; empowering myself was the most useful thing I have ever done for myself. You are not alone.

Trust me, no person I know except the friend I was talking about has that courage. A couple of guys came to our school in this presentation, talking about bullying, and sure enough everybody was already talking about how they would stand up for anybody being unfairly bullied. The funny thing is, nobody actually DID. I'm not saying courage doesn't exist, it's just that where I live it's practically nonexistent.
