No point using sterile gloves if you are immediately touching the patient with those gloves and making them non sterile. Just use a no touch technique

It's not too bad - it burns a bit then once they drain it you will instantly feel better - knee in fluid can even prevent you from flexing and can cause pain on the inner side of knee 😢

@@mrwhite-zw7wr I am so sorry. I fell in late March. But would not go to ER due to Covid. I finally went to urgent care in late May. Apparently I fractured my left knee. In distal femur just above kneecap. I was relieved to hear yesterday, that it was a clean fracture that appeared to be healing on its own. Since having the fluid drained, I haven't taken anymore pain medication. At 57 years of age, I don't jump back from injuries like I did in my younger years. I said a prayer for you. I hope you blood clots will resolve and your knee will heal without surgery. Here's to better days ahead. As I will be keeping the faith with you. 😇

Ummm curious to know if you had a local anithisha??? I had both of mine done and screamed through the entire process. It was the most painful experience of my life!! They only used biofreeze on my knees, betadine, and they claim a little lidocaine but I could feel everything!! I MEAN EVERYTHING!!! Curious to know how you had yours done??? Ty

I had this done for painful swollen probmatic knee replacement and they could not extract any fluid after 3 tries, l don't think that is normal.

@@danieltaylor4819 I had surgery but the lump is still there. I had key hole meniscus surgery. My lump was exactly on the outside. The lump is still there after surgery. It's been 2 week past and the pain is still there. Was yours the same?

Yep NEVER AGAIN!! The worst pain I have ever felt in my life. It was Excruciating!! I have had 2 kids in my life and Never experienced that level of pain. I screamed through the entire process.

@@oofoof7336 it literally felt like someone was twisting a sharp pencil into my already swollen and painful joints. I have tricompartmental arthritis in both knees. I'm also under age 50 but it's severe. I was told by an orthopedic surgeon that I was looking at 2 knee replacements in my future. 😥

Renee Olivera I have JIA. And Lyme and they also think I have a autoimmune disease. After 2 rounds of treatment Lyme hasn’t change at all, it even increased. So tomorrow I am getting my knee fluid tested and if it turns out bad I will go on a iv drip
