stumbled across this. Same bike (2015) and I am of the same attitude. Riding is all about practice and perfecting skill set. In fact, I have the same carpet!!

There are some who say you should have scrapes and scratches on the crash bars or you're not a real Harley rider. lol. Personally, I would rather ride and keep my crash bars unmarred. A lot fewer medical bills that way.

Military makes us take the MSF course every five years, which would be five is it weren't for the road "test* portion. See a lot if shiny bikes leave with battle scars. That being said, I've done similar stuff to my bikes when taking the course etc.

Check Out ...MOTORCYCLE PRACTICE GUARDS On facebook....they have chrome guards and powder coated guards u can leave on and they protect bike for any mishaps...they also have practice guards to protect your chrome...that way u can practice everytime u ride without fear of damage..It'd not cheap plastic these things last...i have been able to practice constantly and now have slow manuevers down and even 15 foot stopped balanced u turns down....and yes I know these guys but their products are awesome....they only sell by word of mouth to friends and acquaintances...

Trust me they are awesome...check their videos out too...they told me yesterday their going to be uploading new videos this next week....they do a stopped balance turn that is awesome...and they all have those practice guaeds on their bikes cause they say everyone falls practicing at one time or another
