Adhesions of the musculotendinous fasciae of the anterolateral aspect of the thigh which are frequently caused by fibular head's malposition, often associated with lateral meniscal's subluxation, and patello-femoral synovial adhesions are at the origin of most of the non-surgical mechanical knee pain. If untreated, these results in irregular weight distribution of the knee, damage the menisci, and predispose to serious knee sprain. With time, this fragile state of the knee could have repercussions on the ankle, affect walking, and also improve pelvis and spine dysfunctions.
