I like how Mo Chara stood on what he said about the homeless and didn’t crack a smile even when she laughed. He made a very good point.

@@well1012 it's true many people lose their way with music and fame and are even not really from the background similar to those things that they sing about, i write poetry, i've written poetry about the holocaust of ww2 for university, but you don't need to live those experience to speak about them. they can have more money and fame and from the interviews, they still sound like the average "smick" as we say in west belfast growing up. unless it's really put on and it's just a fantasy. but i can't say. i can say is that i enjoy the music sometimes

Really? I’ve never heard them talk about class nearly half as much as they push sectarianism, and the saddest thing about sectarianism its a war between the working class that makes it impossible for us to ever overcome the real threat from the social elites who want us to be fighting amongst ourselves sadly
@TheDjSham Жыл бұрын
Im an Irishman living in Ireland. I am so impressed by this women doing the interview. The boys obviously started off the talk by taking the piss but she held her ground and asked the real questions, the questions i would ask the lads myself. As i said before I am an Irishman but i still don't understand a lot of what the lads are saying when they perform their lyrics. I was "taught" the language from the day I started school until the day I finished yet I cannot speak it fluently just like 97% of the Irish population. That fact makes me sad sometimes but just knowing that Kneecap exist counteracts that feeling and that makes me happy xx
@nriab23 Жыл бұрын
i don't why people can't understand them, they sound like average working class west belfast people who are young, it's what i heard in school

@justbrandonokay Жыл бұрын
that "fact" is completely incorrect. It's asking how much people are native Irish speakers (Irish is their first or only language) not how many people are fluent in the language. So you not being born into a fully Irish speaking community will exclude you from being native, regardless of how advanced you are at the language. 40% of the population are fluent in Irish. So I hope that makes you feel better.
