I found it really weird that in the event description box and the announcer both said that they would get 3 attempts to get their best time, but instead it’s only 1 attempt

According to the description, they meant 'you get three attempts to get to the bottom, but once you've gotten to the bottom that's your time' and no one got stuck.

Do you think it’s possible they pre-recorded the corrected standings, knowing in advance that they would be putting out an error and then catching it? I don’t want to delve fully into the conspiracy deep end, but JMR has had some issues previously with fans upset by scoring issues that took a while to resolve, and I’m wondering if this was set up to show how quickly they fixed the error this time.
