I love the EDC lifestyle & I support it heavily ✊🏾 Self defence or emergency situations you may find yourself in can happen instantly so you must be ready for it as best as you can be.

My favorite folder is the cold steel spartan and my favorite full tang blade is the cold steel leatherneck tanto, they have proven their reliability over the years 😎👍

I’ve carried a 🔪 whenever I could since I was 10 yrs old. My dad said you should “always have a 🔪 on you.” It started with a classic Buck folder and now I’ve got thousands of dollars worth of blades. I’ve carried all types, but I’ve settled with the Spyderco PM2. Overall it checks every box I require from a quality folder. I’ve invested a lot of time and sweat in training with knives as well for the past 40 years. I don’t always have a bang bang, but I always have a 🔪. It’s funny how many people think I’m odd for always having a 🔪 , but in reality, I think they are strange for NOT carrying one. Whenever someone needs a 🔪 and doesn’t have one, they can always rely on me making the cut for them.

How about you quite pushing more items to purchase and instead ship the item that we purchased months ago. Been waiting over 5 months now same excuse warehouse is behind no eta 2 different orders. I am calling it BDU of old is no more. Today it is a scam they are taking money not shipping orders. I don’t believe they even have the products.

OTFs are cool but i just don't trust em to always fire when i need it. I prefer a fixed blade but a frame lock folder works too. I usually carry both. Not only is the framelock stronger but its also thinner & easier to carry.

quite interesting, as Ronnie Kray used to say. X UK military for a long time. I like your understanding of knives. In UK we cannot carry a sharpened spoon,. I personally do not break laws, on saying that I have carried a Trail Master to a confrontation, against UK law, I do find American tanto knives have a superior edge in a scrap CQC. Love your tats man.

T.Kell Knives has some great fixed blades. Marine corps vet. USA made. His self defense blades are very robust. Check out his nightstalker. My EDC.

They are actually not that good at all and not waiting a year or more and paying a subscription to buy a knife, grifter.

@@Revelation1316 I beg to differ- their knives are the best quality fixed blades I own. In the Patreon get you 10% off and access to blemish blades. They also give you free gifts and it’s completely worth it. That’s not the only way to get their blades- They just get first dibs because they sell out so fast. Have you actually tried their blades to know? because I’ve not heard anyone say that before. I never wait more than a couple of months when I order. I never heard of a year long wait.

@@Revelation1316 I don’t want to hi-jack someone else’s video, but let me address this. If you have one of my blades and have an issue with the quality, we have a lifetime no questions asked 100% guarantee on all of our blades regardless of if you were the person that purchased it or not the warranty follows the blade for life. And it is incredibly rare that we have an issue requiring warranty. I suspect, however that you don’t own one of our blades because I see many incorrect statements in your comment. We don’t charge subscription fees to get my blades, and It’s never been a year wait, if it is going to be a long wait, it’s made very clear at the time of purchase that those blades are a pre-order. 90% of the time we hit our dates for shipping unless there’s some anomaly beyond our control. Even then it’s never been a year. As of today Patreon has only 300 members and 2 weeks ago we released 1500 blades to the public after Patreon got their first dibs. They sold out in a few days. Patrons get discounts on all their purchases. That equals far more dollars than the Patreon subscription fee. I apologize that you misunderstood those facts. I hope that you will give us a try and sign up for the newsletter for the drop alerts, as we will be dropping blades very soon. Many thousands of people a year that are not patrons purchase our blades, the majority of which are notified through our newsletters.

I have no desire to carry a folder for self defence, and stilletto(OTF) type auto knives cost the earth. So I am without a doubt a man who will sacrifice a little comfort to carry a good fixed blade knife. What is your favorite carry(EDC) affordable fixed blade?

Crkt obake I feel is a great choice for a dedicated defense blade. Small and concealable, but a wicked cutter. The handle allows for the pikal method easily. For around $40 you can’t beat it. Remember it doesn’t have to be a super steel to put a hole in a bad guy

@@Hudson4426 great choice. I agree, it’s not the money. I carry a cold steel fixed blade tanto. I will stake my life on it. I also on most occasions carry the cold steel push dagger, I love that a lot. Keep your powder dry, and thanks again.

Was expecting a lot more about blade thickness, deployment speeds for self defense, grip style, steel durability, concealment, good blade length, best lock system for dependability etc instead, this video really didn't tell the viewer anything to make a better choice other than being wary of using a thin blade tip as a screw driver

Frame locks are not stronger than liner locks. Every channel I’ve seen that has tested this has found frame locks to have more failures to due to the lock/blade interface. Also, almost every frame lock has relief cuts which weakens the lock. If it was as strong as you think it is you wouldn’t be able to push it over with your thumb. There are a ton of stronger locks anyway frame locks and liner locks are the weakest. Back locks, triad locks, axis locks, super locks, shark locks, atlas locks… all stronger than frame locks or liner locks. Frame locks are popular because they give you a flicky opening action. That’s it.

A knife with a blade length under 4in should not be considered self-defense. There's also a difference between self-defense and tactical.
