Interesting to see the time needed to make this video. Started in bright daylight, finished at dusk.

The Palmgren (Yours says Dayton, they are all the same one just rebranded) 2x42! I own this belt grinder myself and have made numerous knives with it, and yes, I had to modify the bottom housing just like that one as well as I put on a dead flat glass platen. I eventually want to get a 2x72, but for now I don't have the space "exactly" , at least not where I would want it, and I am not churning out enough knives to warrant that additional cost... There is a 2x42 though that exists in the same form / shape as a 2x72 I plan on getting though with an adjustable speed driver... Just need to save a few pennies. Welcome to the club, Greg! I know this is 6 months old, but I just saw it and wanted to say that. lol

Welcome to the DARK SIDE. When I started with stones, everybody was saying to not sharpen knives too aggressively or you'll west down you knife too fast.

Where is your other felt belt from please? Curry is out of stock.

Couple of things - maybe start a health channel to tell us how you're so fit now, and spill everything on the platten😉

I think you shouldn’t have made the video if you couldn’t show the platen. Long time fan, but this seemed crappy.

A little bit of a promise that I made to Ryan. Do we have to keep our promises?
@buffalojones3417 ай бұрын
@@nadm that’s a non sequitur. If you made a promise, then why tease with the video about most of the rig?
@buffalojones3417 ай бұрын
Not sure what the big secret is anyhow. Looks like cardboard duct taped to the platen to make a taper on both ends and some graphite cloth attached with spray adhesive or contact cement.
