I have two questions Mr. Blaine. First question: I was under the impression that a saber grind is the same as your example of a "High Flat". You mentioned that the high flat was not a saber grind. Could you possibly clear this up for me? Second question: Is your example of a "Concave" the same as a straight razor? (Not a wedge, but an extra hollow) Third question: Where does the type of Japanese single bevel knives that have the hollow on the backside primary grind fall into, as far as your classifications? I always love to see a notification on my phone that you posted a new video. Especially when it's sharpening or cutlery related! Semper Fi!

Well done Richard and very informative. My first time understanding the concave and new Japanese grinds. Hollow ground i like but don't know the long durability i know thats its downfall.

The hollow grind is a better cutter than the flat or saber grinds but the latter are the stronger grinds. There is always a give and take with knife grinds!
