Restoring a knife I found while riding dirt bikes one day.
Some notes on the video if you're curious:
- The scales didn't turn out perfect but I'm happy with the results for the most part. I underestimated how hard making scales for a knife actually is, especially if you don't have the proper tools, which I don't.
- I left the pocket clip off of the final product because two screws were missing since one of the scales was missing. So I used the pocket clip screws to attach the other scale.
- I sanded the handles smooth off-camera.
- I didn't apply a finish to the scales because I liked the way they turned out, but I may apply butcher block or something similar in the future.
- I believe the scales are walnut.
- The knife model as it comes from the factory: Browning Model 773
