Oh the days of hundred dollar GEC's are a thing of the past. I'm just glad I was around for the good ol days of Great Eastern Cutlery.

Your comment leads me to assume that you own at least several GEC knives from the TIW era. Consider yourself fortunate my friend, in knowing your knives hold a much higher value vs what you paid for them new years ago. Your thoughts are no different than reminiscing about "the good old days when a loaf of bread would cost you 25 cents". Be happy that you own such knives that literally represent an authentic American knife made a hundred years ago, that so many desire, but can't get anymore.........and that's exactly why their values have soared. Also: you were a wise man because you knew a good thing when you saw it. You bought them when the vast majority of the community either ignored them........or even worse, the critics, who wined & cried: "those knives aren't worth a hundred bucks".
