No kidding! The future was so much more fun before it got here lol... I remember watching the show "Beyond 2000" around this time religiously (I want to say it was on A&E or USA maybe, but it was a show about all of the future Tech in development, eg VR, electric cars, robotics etc)and being a fan of OG Knight Rider I watched and taped the premiere of this. It's funny to look back and think how far away 1999, 2000, 2015 in BTTF2 etc seemed when they were only a short time away, like just because the century changed, things would change overnight. Especially when you're young, time goes so much faster. I remember watching a look at the creation of a Disney ride (I want to say it was for Honey I shrunk the kids or Roger Rabbit, and Iirc it never happened as advertised anyway) in like 89ish and they said "to be opened in 1993" and I thought "that's FOREVER, why even bother?!" lol

I believe one of the reasons was Edward Mulhare was sick or was in the early stages of Cancer at the time. if he was then he was a true professional because he looked fine. when he passed away couple years later one episode of Team Knight Rider was deicated to his memory.

No there are no cryoprisons and there will never be as long as America insists on "private" prisons. A warm body in a cell makes for a large and profitable enterprise for some very wealthy people. That and cryostasis, the complete cessation of virtually all bodily functions is in its infancy. While it's a good idea, what cannot be overcome at this time is cellular blastoma or when the cell wall ruptures due to freezing thus damaging the tissue, thus making freezing the subject to near Kelvin which would be required to achieve stasis impossible at this time until cellular function can be assured.

When I first saw it, I thought it was pretty good but the only people missing were Bonnie, April & RC3, what happen to them, why didn't any of them came back? They were important members of the team. To be honest I never really liked the idea of seeing KITT dismantled I mean he was the star of the show and a cool car. If this was going to be turned into a serious as it originally was planned they should have done better with plot. For the 2008 series they managed to do better than this.

Tbh, I have been in and out of the IT field in various forms for decades. In this universe, KITT wasn't the star, he was an outdated piece of equipment sent out to be scrapped. Remember, it had been almost 20 years since KITT was first turned on, so yeah, businesses would have been like this plot.

I think it should be a followup o the original but have a time skip. They should make kit a remake of this (But not a full on remake). Make KIFT its own thing and use this same car. Have Michael rescue KITT and eventually put him in the KITT car. They eventually track down KITT’s old body and put him back in that. Then there’s a bad guy controlling Knight Industries and there’s s showdown between KITT and KIFT

Val Kilmer is the new voice of KITT... might actually be interesting. However, I do agree that they could have come up with something better than a Mustang. Don't get me wrong, I love Stangs, but there is a hot looking Firebird concept (similar to the new Camaro) that would have been better (to the fans at least).
