Quite accurate, the 3rd gen T/A was the lightest, had the best suspension ,the lowest gravity point, and often a 5 speed gearbox. 1982 version would have had a problem with Charger, but later models like GTA, or Anniversary Trans AM, would have won, not to mention the Firehawk version. Speaking of the second gen Trans Am, it apperas to be too fast. I've seen this car on a racing track two or three times, appears to be very clumsy.

Sadly the cars used in the shows never had the GTA's engine, instead they had 5.0L LG4 v8's equipped with either crossfire injection, or a carburetor conversion for reliability purposes. It was also equipped with a somewhat poorly tuned vacuum advance distributor so the screen-used cars made less than 145 horsepower :/

@@KeeganYF12 Yup, they ran close to what I'm running in my '82, th350 trans, carbed 5.0 with hei distributor, only difference is mine has a roller cam, high compression, and electric pump conversion.. they're reliable as hell honestly

too bad they have a poor assed kitt. 1982 trans am did not have all of that wrap around ground effects crap and sorry folks the kitt custom front is way cooler than the factory front.did I forget to mention this car has the wrong wing for kitt also?

Nothing against early 82-84 TA's, but the 85-90 GFX package was great, and functional. Its the same package that helped the car take the title for the fastest stock bodied car.

Looks like Kitt won it by a nose. I thought Smokey might. Both cars have a weight advantage over the General. But there's no way that van can make those turns at the speed it would need to stay in the race. There was at least one turn, where a rear wheel left the pavement. I said, "Oh sh*t, he's going to flip!" But the driver recovered. He may not be able to win the race in the A-Team van, but my hat's off to him. Damned good driver to keep that van on the track at those speeds.

Rollovers aren‘t an issue for those vans. Their center of gravity is lower than you might think, and their weight will help keep them planted.

@@KeeganYF12 - They are very good vehicles. I’ve driven them (not one souped up like that, LOL!) But I wouldn’t want to take those corners at those speeds in a Chevy van, even if I did have the kind of training that these guys have. These guys are pros.

They are stock vehicles from forza 6 with gamer made custom skins, fyi the cars in the series were stock vehicles with custom paint. You don't like then do something better and post your effort here...

For a van its still faster than most cars and it looks cool so it went in, there is also crocket & tubs testarosa, I stopped playing forza games because forza 7 is only interested in empting your pockets.

In reality, a 440 V8 Charger R/T would have outrun the other cars by a large margin on this track. The A-Team van, Trigger (from Smokey and the Bandit) and 1982 Trans Am -- all made less than 200 horsepower. The Charger had about twice that much horsepower. The only disadvantage is handling, but lowering the cars adjustible torsion bars would close much of that gap.

I tuned them all to the same class to avoid large gaps as this made watching the video very confusing, trying to watch 4 different cars on 4 different parts of the track was a mess and impossible to follow. Plus un-tuned american cars didn't like corners, they wallow and roll all over the place :D

Yes and no. Wihle knowing how Forza handles the physics, Stock charger would have most defnitely outrun everything on top geat test circuit, due to notably better acceleration, and it's still short enough that while the charger is gearing limited on top speed, it wouldn't have mattered. and that's why the "kitt" T/A woudn't have been able to catch it. Bandit TA is just too slow for them, and A team van stupidly slow. If tuned to represent what the cars were capable of in the TV, the order would have changed betwwen General Lee and KITT. In reality, Charger would have outrun everything on start, but between Willson and Chigago the 3rd gen T/A would probably catch it just because it handles so much better. Out of Chigago the Charger could have small edge, again, assuming it can get the power down, But on Hammerhead and especially out of hammerhead, the 3rd gen T/A would be faster. And then Follow-trough and Bentley. This is what would kill the Charger, it wouldn't be able to carry the speed of the 3rd gen T/A, would outrun it, and 2nd gen would probably gain on it due to slight handling advantage.

The car's name was THE BANDIT... Smokey was the Cop in the movie... Secondly KITT was not a Ram Air so why are there holes in the hood??? This gave him an unfair advantage over Bandit... I could care less about the General in this race... And the Van... REALLY??? It's was CLEARLY gonna lose... It's pretty... BUT HAS NO REAL SPEED. The General, well she's a lot old then them all... So I don't expect her to be kicking anybody's ass in a race save all the Batmobiles and Bond Cars of the past... I WILL GIVE GENERAL THIS... SHE CAN JUMP REALLY WELL... THERE WAS NO NEED FOR UMPTEEN THOUSAND JUMP CARS like Kitt Needed...
