Yeah, sorry ... I'm not sold. The calibration is a problem. You had to calibrate so your "known" bug would alert you. The point of this is that you don't know where the bugs are so how in the heck do you calibrate. I would redo the video man.

I am thinking of getting the KT9000 (because of the more advanced and sensitive sensors), but if I were to do a review of this product, I would definitely have someone place cameras and gps devices in locations unknown to me, and then try to find them - I believe that would be the best way to review a product like this - and also more convincing to a potential buyer (but only in my opinion). I only wish that they could have made the KT9000 look as cool as the KT8000 model as mentioned by OrigineSoul (with the built-in camera detector). The KT9000 looks a bit amateurish as opposed to the KT8000 - also having to carry around another smaller device for camera detection (that could easily get lost if dropped) is not very comforting. However, if it comes in a nice case - then that would make it a bit more secure and comforting (in my opinion). If I get this, I will be doing a review on my channel, using it at a motel - that would be even cooler LOL. I am getting ready to do a review of the AirKinght 9-in-1 air quality monitor that these guys make, but am waiting on another monitor to arrive that I will be comparing it with - hopefully this week, and that is going to be an exciting video to do, and am also doing a tear-down of the AirKnight 9-in-1 as well. Also jh6392, if you email or call this company, they have incredible customer support, and will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

This is where my desire to purchase was lost. Having to turn the calibration up after getting close to the known device, doesn't give me confidence. I would have bought this immediately if he would have shown it beeping before turning it down. Obviously a red flag.

I have a KT9000, which seems more advanced and elaborate, but the 8000 is more expensive. Which do you prefer? Which is better and/or most powerful/versatile? Thanks.

Shaun, the KT9000 is more powerful and advanced. The KT8000 is not more expensive though. It's cheaper at $69.99. We prefer the KT9000 as it's more professional.

@@knight9602 I guess I was mistaken on the product model numbers somehow. Last question: Why do you say the 9000 is more professional? I think the 8000 looks more like its worth $130 than the 9000 does. If there is an actual difference, I'll order the 9000 right now.

@@MoorAndMoreNetwork the KT9000 has higher quality sensors which give it a stronger RF detection capability and also more sensitive magnetic detection capability than the KT8000. Also, the KT9000 is made of metal while the KT8000 is plastic.

I was wondering can indoor led lights be used as bugs, like with arduinos motion sensors, ?

Tony, while anything is possible, it would be unlikely. Typically, a hidden camera or audio bug would be embedded withing a more simple, over-the-counter device like a clock, cell phone charger, pen, picture frame, glasses, etc. However, it is possible that an LED light contains a camera, it would probably be visible to the naked eye upon taking a close look at the bulb. It would take a more custom made, complex device to pull that off without it being visible.

Yes, If the GPS bug you are referencing uses some type of wifi or wireless signal (i.e. RF signal), then yes, the KT9000 detector can detect it.
