It's amazing how Super Pursuit Mode also has the effect of reducing traffic congestion, they had to be the quietest ever Californian streets and roads given how LA for example used to have huge gridlocks during 80's😂😂

At 1:18, the guy in the passenger seat also was on the tv show "Dallas". He played Ewing Oil's lawyer Harv Smithfield. I love the gun shot sound when KITT blasts into super pursuit mode. Driving on city streets at nearly 300 mph, not to mention how slow the scenery behind KITT moves so slowly. Anyways, still a cool show for its time. At 4:36, I just noticed how you can see the camera crew reflection on the side of KITT. At about 4:43-4:44 you can see cars go flying by in the background, lol.

Some good overacting there from the Hoff, in Juggernaut. He isn't even sat in the new SPM car and he's wowed by it. The Burial Ground scene has me chuckling because of the reactions from the two passengers to Hoff's acting. - and shouldn't the girl have been thrown through the windshield when Michael hits the EBS button? There is one small blooper - occasionally I see a rear wheel not spinning during the moving transformation. 5.00 & 5.23 And because the clip has been used in different episodes I see it more than I want to. You can't unsee it. "Ok pal, Super Pursuit Mode and open the gates - normally we'd crash through the gates but we only have one SPM car and it cost the studio £250K."

Thanks to the "Passive Laser Restraint System", nobody ever gets thrown out. Even if somebody did hit the windshield from the inside, it wouldn't break because of the molecular bonded shell. They'd just be a bloody mangled mess and then KITT would have to utilize his "Auto Vac" mode.

- Super Pursuit Mode (S.P.M.) - K.I.T.T.'s SPM was added at the start of the show's fourth season. It was the result of the redesign of the car to integrate new concepts consisting of improving rocket boosters, retractable spoilers for aerodynamic stability and movable air inlets for increased cooling. Super Pursuit Mode provides a 40% boost in speed beyond the car's original speed of 300 MPH. When Super Pursuit Mode is used at night, some of the exterior and under the wheel arches glows red. It also includes an emergency braking system which slows K.I.T.T. down from Super Pursuit speeds, by using a forward braking booster and air panels that pop out to create air friction.

Some things of note: 1. KITT is shown going close to 300 MPH in the intro but never shown actually going that fast until Season 4 when SPM was introduced. 2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but EBS seemed to disappear toward the end of Season 4. You just saw Michael deactivate SPM and KITT would slow down.
