I was thinking why would anyone buy this instead of a step cutter that can also strip on top of cutting, but it's actually pretty cheap for 25€ for a 1000V rated pair.

Compact flush cutters are good for PCB work, getting into tight junction boxes, trimming cable ties in cramped spaces, etc

@@scod3908 Agreed. But my comment was because these are 1000V rated ones. In electronics and PCBs, insulation is never a problem, let alone insulation against 1000V DC! The fact that they are cheap, makes up for it. But knowing Knipex, I would not be surprised if they costed triple the price.
