KNIPEX TwinGrip 82 01 200

The industry’s first 5-adjustment push-button slip joint pliers, featuring both front and side gripping areas. With five adjustment positions, the TwinGrip offers a gripping capacity for diameters and widths across the flats from 5/32" to 7/8" with just the push of a button.

I hated slip joints before because they always felt too loose when you used them. So I always preferred the duck nose pliers but kept the slip joints for the versatility. Now, I have to get these and throw out those old slip joints.

Just looked... as of this writing (6/18/2021) KC Tool wants $40.15 for the 82 01 200 with regular grips; and $45.42 for the 82 02 200 with 'comfort' grips. Prices don't include tax, shipping etc. They claim they'll ship sometime in July 2021. I've dealt with KC Tool several times now; class outfit!

This front jaws remind me of my vampliers, which work hell good actually. I do have a large pair of knipex that are amazing as well. I won't be surprised if they get sued, or if the vampliers design has expired.

The only mistake I made with my twin grip pliers is I didn't realize they had comfort-grip available in it. Now I have to get another pair but that's okay because what could be better than one pair of twin grip pliers is two pairs? Sadly one of them will get picked nine times out of 10 over the other. But that's okay because I was sure I'll put a beating on them in the next decade or two..
