Great tools, I already ordered the new dismantling ratcheting knife, I already have the older twin cut cable shears and the compact stepcut shears. Das Abmantelungsmesser (16 50 145 SB) sieht doch vielversprechend aus und sollte vor allem die Arbeit mit Leitungen und Kabeln großen Querschnitts erleichtern. Daher würde ich mich sehr freuen, es bald einmal in der Praxis ausprobieren zu können.

Hi there! The StepCut XL cuts solid copper or aluminum cables up to 35mm² (approx. 2 AWG) , stranded cables up to 70mm² (approx. 2/0 AWG) and fine stranded cables up to 120mm² (approx. 250 AWG).

Hi @FoodOnCrack, cutting with the StepCut XL is noticeably easier than with compact cable shears --> up to 60% easier cutting of multi-conductor cables.

Can the stepcut xl cut 2/0 awg copper?

Hi there! It depends on the type of the cable. The StepCut XL cuts solid copper or aluminum cables up to 35mm² (approx. 2 AWG) , stranded cables up to 70mm² (approx. 2/0 AWG) and fine stranded cables up to 120mm² (approx. 250 AWG). If you want to cut 2/0 AWG copper you can only cut stranded cables. If you want to cut solid cables, it's not possible with 2/0 AWG.

Please may I kindly ask for the Knipex 73 71 180 KNIPEX TwinForce® to be created with a larger "mouth" opening ? These are the best diagonal cutters I've used, however, they are limited with their "mouth" opening, I appreciate that it's part of the design, however, I know this could be improved. Thank you

Der Berg kreißte und gebar eine Maus. Da kündigt man 8 Tage vorher die Premiere der neuen Werkzeuge 2024 an und bringt dann ein kurzes Video ohne jegliche Erklärungen. Echt schwach, da geht wirklich besser! So etwas präsentiert man live mit Anwendungsbeispielen. Die Chance auf die große Show leider verpasst.
