It made my day to actually meet you and hug you. I can totally agree that the marketplace on Saturday was super busy and overwhelming. I couldn’t really get into some of the booths to take a look. I’ve already put my wine glass progress keeper on a pair of socks. Can’t wait to start using the wool I bought from Yarn Indulgences. You are just lovely. Lovely to see the knitting show footage, but also the views around Toronto. It brought back many lovely memories of our visit there, including watching the Blue Jay's play baseball on a scorchingy hot day a d have soft shell crab afterwards as part of our supper. I have put the Galt store on the list to visit as hoping to make a trip over next year to NB, Ottawa etc.

(I appreciated how you took your time to go through each booth to show off their wares!) And, it was delightful to travel with you to your brother's place and to Galt. I’ve decided I’m old lol $42 for a sock blank makes me feel old! I love it, it’s beautiful, but I remember, back in the day, walking to school, up hill, both ways, barefoot in the snow ;) when they were like $18-$22 ish USD …I am now that old guy shaking his stick telling the kids to “get off my lawn” and saying “back in my day”. What lovely spinning finds! Can’t wait to see them knit up! Great travel blog as well!

What was most delightful was how approachable you are and finding out you are originally from Kitchener + now live on the East Coast in New Brunswick explains your down to earth nature. Your vlog about your Ontario visit was great. I wish I had gone out for a walk in Toronto while I was visiting there, and seeing Kitchener through your eyes put it under a new light for me too. A wonderful episode Nancy. I'm having a chuckle as I am trying out your heel or doing the 3 knit stitches at the beginning and end of every heel row so that it is easier to pick up the stitches. Enjoying it and this episode very much. Knit City looked like so much fun. I get that overwhelmed feeling every August when I go to The Twist Fibre Festival. Hard to have any kind of a yarn shopping plan with all of the beautiful yarn surround you. Best wishes!

I was watching really late Sunday night and thought I saw Lucy Ann from Front Porch Knitter. Backed the video up today and it was! There are not any yarn shows close to where I live. Loved seeing your footage of Knit City. I didn’t make it there but a friend sent me a surprise braid of cormo from A Lair Artifacts - can’t wait to spin it. Next time you are visiting family in Kitchener you may wish to visit Wellington Fibre if you haven’t already. Not too far a drive and they have gorgeous fibre for spinning - wool/mohair/silk blends and colour ways to die for! Looking forward to see what comes of all of your Galt House of Yarn purchases. I have family not far and have been thrilled with anything I have bought there. Happy knitting and spinning!

How fun! A L'air Artifacts had so many amazing braids...it was very hard to choose. I bought some Wellington Fibre back in 2019 at the KW yarn show, but getting to visit the farm would be even better. Galt was a very impressive shop and i can't wait to go back on my next visit 💕

Not a silly question at all! The colour distributes in a really fun way when you knit from a blank. It's just something different 🧦
