Knit Picks' Knit in Public Day 2023 celebration

In what way? It was an open invite to people to attend. We love to foster diversity as well. Perhaps you have a suggestion on how we could have done better?

i was there as a young nb trans person! yes the people attending were mostly older white people but i think that's... mostly representative of the knitting community in the area, for better or for worse

Just curious, is there a particular reason why you have yours on a different day to World Wide Knit in Public Day. Several groups in Canberra Australia have had events over the past few years. "World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes and takes place on the second Saturday of June each year. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Knit in Public Day is the largest knitter run event in the world. Wikipedia"
