Thank you so much ladies! You have truly lifted my spirits today (sick with the flu 😢). It was sooo nice to see the wool store video. I have lived and worked on Cattle Stations in the remote Australian outback for the last few decades, and spent a lot of my younger days working in the shearing sheds. There is nothing quite like the smell of freshly shorn sheep … 🥰 Also wanted to say congrats Kelly and the other Knit Chatters in supporting the local fair! Well done. They are called Agricultural Shows here in Australia, and they are such a great opportunity to see what the locals have been up to over the farming year. So many fond memories of bakes scones, fruit cakes, flower arrangements, handspun knitting, quilting, etc … 😁 Sending you hugs from The Top End (as the Northern Territory is called), Down Under … 😜🌴🌴🌴

I always enter knitted and sewn items as well as garden vegetables in our local fair (Chilliwack Fair) . It’s fun and keeps the tradition of a community involvement alive. The grandkids also enter projects.

Ladies , I have a "flexie flip" style from Hiya Hiya. They are called Flyers. I don't know that I LOVE these little suckers but they are sharp!. They are 8 inch. Jury is still out!

I’m glad my comment from last week’s episode about how to turn the socks inside out helped you both - and Jasmine’s too. We should never feel embarrassed for not knowing how to do something … that’s what we are all here for … to help each other and also to find help ourselves. After 55 years of knitting, I continue to learn something new with each episode of every podcast, and every encounter with fellow knitters.

I was chuckling about the flexi flip situation, I have a friend who is a way,way more experienced & better knitter than I am, and she was describing to me this super complicated thing she did flipping the needles inside a knitted bag and I asked her why didn't she just push the knitting through the needles & she just looked at me. I think our brains see things in different ways:) I love that Noelle is doing a little light pre-shopping as an appetizer to the real shopping. Have so much fun at all the Rhinebecky activities!

Hi ladies...just watched last night's podcast....excellent watching as usual. About the arran yarn in the UK....we have many makes of arran and a bit like dk it can vary in thicknes according according to the make. I have knitted in different makes of arran and find some slightly finer than others....but we do have plenty of choice. I do prefer fingering yarns but sometimes my knitworthy granddaughter asks for a thicker sweater. Have a great time a Rhinebeck ladies....I'm so envious but Scotland is a tad too far away.😊

So funny how different people see things differently. For me, I never would have thought of pushing my needles through the knitting to do the Finchley Graft 🤔😄. I generally use DPNs, so I can't see how it woukd even be possible? I forgot that I own a set of Flexi Flips...I'll have to dig them out and give them another try 😊

Noelle, you may not have done anything to your computer. I have not had anything except a notice that live chat is not available for this live stream since about 1/2 way thru, and i left and restarted both the podcast, and youtube. I was watching and it just went away. Great show, though, again this week, so thank y'all for doing this every week.

How many sweaters do you have Noelle? Where do you store them? Do you wear them all?

Try shaving foam for getting the item white. Those self shedding sheep look really messy and do make a mess of the paddock fences. What is the point of sheep that you don’t get fibre from Lol from NZ.

I’ve only knitted socks with double points or magic loop and have never had to flip socks inside out.what am I missing? Is it just for that finchly graft?

I hope you have a great time at Rhinebeck! If it’s easy to do & you get a chance, I would enjoy seeing how you hold the Flexi-Flips so they don’t dig into the palm of your hands. I have them, and I really want to love them, but I run into the same problem with them… I’ve tried figuring it out on my own, but I can’t seem to get it, so I suspect if I see how someone else solved it, I’ll have the same facepalm moment that you had with the finchely graft. 🙂
