Knitting a 1940's inspired sweater vest for an 'All Creatures Great & Small' outfit

In todays video we are working on knitting a sweater vest to go with 2 outfits inspired by my new favorite show - All Creatures Great and Small. I am loving this PBS Masterpiece show so much I've started reading the books that inspired the show.
At first my plan for this video had been to simply go through my closet and make a few outfits inspired by the characters - but after some consideration I decided I really wanted to knit something new and special.
While I didn't use a pattern for the vest - I did use one of the color work charts from The Vintage Shetland Project by Susan Crawford.
Overall I am happy with my new sweater vest (even the little holes and dropped stitches I found after blocking). I hope you enjoyed todays video and that it inspires you to make something lovely for yourself!

I made a sweater from woolease 20 years ago when it was all I had access to, and I'll tell you I've got that thing to this day, and it still looks pretty nice. I'm not an acrylic fan, but this one's pretty decent.
