It’s the stitches on the sides of the oblong bag that’s making it bigger Sheila.

it's also the no of sts you make for the chain Valerie, less sts make it smaller too..

Hi Sheila, thank you for this yarn bowl, I don’t crochet but had to have a try at this one and I did it, I’m so proud of myself 😂, but I wanted a more round shape, so on the last round, I only went into every second stitch and it worked, so once again many thanks for your podcast, sending blessings from Scotland

I was thinking if you did two .wool .loops on the bags .you could use two balls of wool xx❤
