Thank you so much for simple! I am a hand knitter and thought I would have an easier transition to machine...nope. I need a book called "Machine Knitting for dummies". I have searched so long for a simple sweater patten without schematics and calculations I was about to sell the machine. Please post more videos for real beginners.

Would it have been easier to get that first stitch, if you had released the tail yarn? Looks like it's being tightened by the tension on it...?
