I agree, Kelly! It is magic. I'm 50 and still cherish the blankets made for me by my Grandmother. Very timely as I've just recently rediscovered the hobby myself. I love the thought of weaving your intent in to it.

Exactly, it is such a treasure to have that energy, I was telling another person who commented that giving my daughter the blanket my grandmother made for her and is now with MY granddaughter is such a gift that brings my grandmother into the presence of her great-great granddaughter--THAT is pure magic! I am so glad you have rediscovered it for yourself!

Yay, another knitter. I was an avid knitter, but have it has taken a back seat to my card studies. I’ve started picking it up again. I look forward to seeing the finish blanket!

Years and years ago I had a book called Mindful Knitting, it appears to be out of print right now but it was a great reminder of how meditative knitting is, just a short step to being intentional about what we put into those stitches, I love it, thank you for watching!!

@@TheTruthinStorySo true, I can see how we can intuitively move from a meditative mode to a more proactive intent setting act of knitting. I truly love this, it resonates deeply ❤️ I really enjoyed this tutorial, thank you so much, Kelly 🙏 Was the book you mentioned written by Tara Jon Manning?

Knot Magic!!!!! Love it😊 You are so right with the intention going into the knitting. I feel that way with anything I’m knitting for a loved one. Edit - my Knit Picks cords have done that several times. Just put a little dot of super glue in there and it will hold. The nice thing about Knit Picks though is replacing them is super affordable compared to others.

Oh good idea, I don't know why I didn't think to do that!! I will try to super glue it first! To be honest, I didn't even remember what brand it was as I've had them so long, so thank you thank you!!

To intentionally pray into stitches is a delightful way to describe what we do when we make something precious for anyone we love or to those unknown to us ❤

It really is wonderful, I pulled out a blanket that my grandmother made for my daughter when she was born and see it with now with MY granddaughter and it is such a precious piece of magic that brings my grandmother into presence with her great-great grandaughter!

Absolutely magical, and a good reminder for those of us who know or to inspire those who might not think of things in this way. I don’t knit or crochet, rather my Ozarks grandmother was a quilter, seamstress, and also did exquisite embroidery so that’s what I’ve always done (the embroidery, not the quilting) but same concept of consciously pouring intentions into creations of stitchery and I’m also interested in some, I think it’s called slow-stitch? As that suits my nature and interest. Really, what’s cool is when we begin thinking in this way, we can stitch magically and intentionally in almost unlimited ways, eh? Lovely! Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the grandbaby. Blessings!

Exactly Dara! We definitely use stitching to add magic and protection to all kinds of things and I love it, and you are sooo right that it is the mindset that opens up how we can infuse magic into everything that we do!
