Wow, those are all lovely yarns you are giving away. I don't have a yarn store nearby and shop mostly online, and I have not tried a whole lot of colorful, hand-dyed yarns. Your podcasts are delightful to watch, keep going!!!

I think my favorite indi dyer is Barnyard Knits. During the pandemic I think I collected thirty or so individual skeins and now I’m using them in a variety of projects. I get them from my wonderful lys of Country Needleworks in Jenison, Michigan. They are a rare store to carry many of the color ways. Happy knitting!

Great podcast thanks I look forward to your podcasts. I have found a few new favorites this year. love mYak Tibetan yarns, their cloud is wonderful and the silk is shinny and soft. The Lamb and Kid Todd, Birdie and Big Birdie, Her Cashmere and more. Plus MoonDrake, plus others like LaBien Aimee and a few others that were not new to me but new to my needles. It’s been a lot of joy.

I enjoy how you think about the patterns you will use with the yarns you share. My 2 favorite LYS have closed in past years pushing me to online yarn shops. When ever I travel I always seek out yarn stores because nothing replaces being able to see and feel the glorious skeins.

Congratulations on 10k! Such an amazing achievement and I’m happy to have found your channel. I love the tank you are knitting for nana. It looks great and so soft. I don’t have much experience with hand dyed yarns. I only have a few in my pantry and I haven’t yet worked with them yet. I am waiting to be more skilled to make something with them. My favorite so far is Madeline Tosh. I bought some mystery bags and they are all so gorgeous. Thank you for sharing these beautiful yarns!

Your giveaway is gorgeous and I gasped when I saw Arcane wool, " home on the range" that rust is EVERYTHING. Thanks for your generosity.

I love my local yarn shop, The Knotty Lamb! I got two beautiful skeins of a silk-linen blend from them that I'm making the Moon-Set tee out of currently. The yarn is hand dyed in Canada by Twisted Willow. It's the nicest yarn I've ever worked with! 35%linen and 65%silk, sooooo yummy. I'm crossing my fingers for that Sophia color linen blend to end up in my life! Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful yarn with us all! From another young teacher to another, I truly enjoy your podcast and get so excited when I see a new upload from you.

I just moved to the state of Arkansas and have been trying to explore new to me dyers. I am currently knitting a sock from Homestead Fibers and it is love. The color is called Carrie and it is their sock base. It is the perfect warmish pink with orange, purple and blue specks. Such a pretty yarn

I've given up on any wooden needles under 5mm because I too have snapped them. I am used to metal ones so the slip factor really isn't an issue. My biggest annoyance with interchangeable needles is when they come loose and I have to keep fishing the yarn out of the crack but think I'll stay with them because its so much quicker to attach an extra cord and pull the project through to try it on as I go.

I was inspired by your version of the Traveller’s Cardigan, so I bought some Noro Madara in Sake to be held double with La Bien Aimée Silk Mohair to knit a version of PetiteKnit’s Champagne Cardigan. My favourite local knitting store is a tough one! Both Eweknit and the Knitting Loft in Toronto are a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Very friendly people and so many beautiful skeins of yarn to take in. There’s nothing better than feeling all the yarn to get a sense of how each yarn feels.

My favorite yarn shop local to me is Wollen, Berlin. They have a terrific collection of some commercial but also regional yarns and a local hand dyed yarn, the colorways inspired by and named after the different „hoods“ in Berlin. Also, they are SO amazingly thoughtful and reach out if you’ve placed an order for multiple skeins for example if there might be a slight color difference in the dye lots. I loved seeing your (very good) progress on your Nonna‘s top and the market bag. Both are summery and cute! And thanks for the warning. There are a lot of those scams sadly. Happy knitting!

Congratulations on 10k! I really enjoy your podcast episodes as you always show such beautiful projects and share your thoughts on yarns, patterns and trends in such a reflective way. Thank you so much for that! Concerning yarn dyers I have one clear favourite: Jule from woollentwine (she has a podcast here on YT of the same name). She uses the most adorable yarns which she more often than not sources locally (she is based in Hamburg, Germany), has them custom spun and then dyes them using all-natural dyes. She introduced me to non-nylon sock yarn and to unspun which I have grown really fond of. Wishing you all the best, Alexandra

My favorite LYS is Eat Sleep Knit in Georgia and isn’t super local to me. I usually plan out before I go because it’s about an hour and a half drive. It’s huge and the selection is amazing! I discovered it when I realized I was a skein short for a sweater, then when I ordered a skein offline it came in and the dye lots were way too off for me to make it work. I do not usually like knitting with summer yarn because my hands hurt when I knit with plant based fibers. This summer I discovered two yarns that are easy on my hands --Plymouth Vita, which is 85 cotton and 15 cashmere and Rowan Pure Linen. They were both in my stash. Unfortunately both have been discontinued. I was able to purchase enough of the Vita from a Raverly stash to make another Tolsta tee.

And she has her own line of yarn that has her dog on the label. 😍 This is a very recent discovery, I didn't even know it existed three months ago! I've not had much of a chance to try hand-dyed yarn due to budget constraints (though I think it's BEAUTIFUL), but one of my favourites that I have been lucky to try is Birdstreet Yarn - based in Bristol UK - especially the Oceanus colourway. I made a framework bralette by jessie mae and a very cute pair of crochet baby booties for a friend out of a DK skein and I'm obsessed.
