Brilliant. you are so talented. Just got back into knitting,and will be starting to knit various little squares ,so I can have a visual,as well as practice. You set it out so nicely, and having written instructions on side is so very helpful. Thank you,and can't wait to start!

I was wondering it you can show how to put the stitches back on after frogging some of my criss cross woven stitch scarf? I can't figure out how they go back on. Thank you so much! By the way, my pattern starts with "insert the right needle throygh the back loop of the second stitch on the left needle. Wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the right needle and knit a stich, but do not remove the second stitch from the left needle. Then, knit the first stitch on the needle as usual, and allow both stitches to fall off the left needle, peat to end of row. 2nd row: purl 1 stitch, then purl the second stitch on the left needle by inserting the right needle through the frint loop and purling a stitch. So not temove the stitch from the keft needle. Then, *purl the first stitch on the needle as usual and allow bith stitches to fall off the left needke. Repeat to the end of row from *.

How do you bind off with this pattern? I assume as each stitch presents, but would you do so after row 1 or 2?

When binding off, what row should we stop at, Row 1 or 2? If we wanted a border, what would you recommend?

I am a total beginner. Should I make a slip knot before starting the long tail cast on? If so, does the slip knot count as 1 stich? Thank you

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I can’t seem to complete the first row as the stitches are too tight. I’ve tried several different cast on techniques using different tensions, too. Needle size shouldn’t have anything to do with it, should it? I’m attempting with chunky yarn and #15 needles.
@ShinyStar6115 жыл бұрын
wife2sp mine are too tight as well with the chunky yarn! Did you figure it out what was wrong?
@aivilocharlotte3 жыл бұрын
@@ShinyStar611 you can do a purl row to start with; that should help! Or cast on using 2 needles instead of one to make your loops a bit looser.

If I wanted to decrease on the edge at some point to give it shape how would I go about it? decrease one at the beginning of a couple rows or one at the beginning of the row and one at the end? and what method of decrease would be suitable? working on a bodice for a dress. :)

Are you knitting the back and then front of the same stitch?
@rheazach20868 жыл бұрын
Lin Birtell first time I did it is had the same problem. turns out, as I was using thick wool, I'd split some in 2 while passing the needle through! maybe that's what's happening with you as well!
