Hi, thankyou for a great video. Textile artists are another level of creativity. Really any one can sew a garment but the intricacies and precision to detail of textile artists is astounding. I always appreciate how your videos are inclusive of peoples talents and budgets.🙏

Loved all of the fabric artwork. Would be so difficult to choose a favourite. I agree with you about bypassing the fabrics and going straight to the type of things you only get to see every now and then. Thanks you for sharing with us Sam 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What an absolute treat Sam. I loved seeing and hearing about the variety of work from so many talent and committed artists. Love you sharing your authentic individuality too, not ‘random’ at all! Awesome in fact. Thanks so much, Susan x

Using craft and textiles is so important in protest. I think of the suffragettes and the women of Greenham Common who used textiles banners to powerful effect, plus the beautiful, moving AIDS memorial banners. Some stunning artists there Sam. Thanks for sharing.

How lovely to see some of the fibre art - it was so busy when I went I felt overwhelmed trying to see things. The northern gathering sounds fab x

I am always enthralled by these works. I did make some thread art depicting my breast cancer journey, it’s nowhere near the standard of the exhibits you have shared but it was very therapeutic. Thanks for sharing. ❤️💙💜

Thanks for sharing the artwork for those of us too far away to visit, such beautiful pieces. As a cyclist I particularly loved the bike themed ones. If you are ever a bit further north there is a lovely display of embroidered miners Union banners at the Woodhorn Museum near Ashington in Northumberland. Some of the work you showed reminded me of that. I bought my mum one of those coffee sacks once when buying her a coffee bean subscription. I thought she would use it for ragrugging too but she said the designs were too nice so made an apron and some outdoor cushion covers with it :)

I went to the Knitting and Stitching show on Thursday, so much to see, what a great show. I am so looking forward to seeing what you and Ali are organising in April. My first sewing meet up was the one at Cleckheaton Golf Club just before Covid struck! What a great afternoon. Thanks for doing thesse videos.

Thanks, Sam, for letting us see some of the artistry in the show, I appreciate that perspective. I recognized the clothing label quilt, I’d seen it before I believe at a larger quilt show in the 90’s. Could be wrong, could have been in a book. So thanks for clarifying the decade! And the coffee bag, never thought to use it as a rug backing. Genius. We roast our own coffee and will occasionally receive our orders of fresh, green beans in those bags. I washed one, it doesn’t really care, wasn’t going to recycle it, but do have strips of fabric ready for a rug. ❤ have a great class! Deb
