I’m so happy more people are moving toward a more sustainable wardrobe, whether knitted, crocheted, sewn, what-have-you. I suspect it is catching on more quickly in Europe than in the US, but it’s coming along. You do have more options for small circumference knitting that DPNs or Magic Loop. I’m a fairly big fan of using 2 circs. Like Magic Loop, you have half the stitches in one place and half in another, but you never have to mess with pulling cords anywhere. You just put half the stitches on one needle and half on another. To knit, you just use the opposite end of the needle on itself. When you come to the next needle you just drop the first all together and use both ends of the next. Round and round. Works a treat. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have multiples of every size needle. The length of them matters not one bit. I mean, you probably wouldn’t want to knit a 42” round body on two 16” needles without some heavy duty stoppers to keep the bunched up stitches from falling off the needles, but most things you would be fine.

Totally forgot about that option 😅 I know some people are probably annoyed by the topic but there are so simple things you can change that might have a bigger impact than one might have thought. Love to hear that some people are interested in the topic

This was really interesting! For the most part, the sustainable yarns you used were very economical. Perhaps I need to do a little more research in finding more economical sustainable options here in the US. I think the majority of the ones I am familar with are small-scale operations, and so that usually translates into higher prices per skein. Thanks for the insight you provided! And your dress is beautiful! I love it and the color is so gorgeous!

I recommend cotton machine sewing thread :) you can also find silk thread for machine sewing. I'm knitting a lace shawl now, it's quite nice even tho it's wool and it's very hot and dry here in sweden as well. We finally had rain thank god.
