I love the TIMBO vest, I knit mine in the beginning of last year, 2023. I had knit this vest while healing up after getting my right foot amputated for health reasons. I used Quince and Co. worsted yarn, a green and charcoal color.

What a fun episode! So earlier in the morning I was sitting at my desk knitting, eating breakfast and checking my email (I’m a multi-tasker) and as soon as I saw your newsletter pop up I promptly went to the website and ordered the sanctum balm because I missed it at Easter. Also, since my birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year and I’m cooking for the family I decided I deserved something else, so the December sock set is your birthday gift to me. IIget so excited when your podcast is out there.. yippeee! I LOVE claymation so much and your little dance at the beginning, it is just so you and your fun personality.. Vest is awesome, so I had to go out and grab the pattern. Charlotte's 'Tom' is adorable and now a vest for a birthday surprise is so sweet. I, also, had to buy the Tom pattern, (Kirby Kirby). I opened Day 1 of your Advent when I received it because the temptation was just too much for me not to at least peek. But now that I’ve heard others busted them all open so they could plan accordingly, I think I’m going to have to open and wind them all TODAY! 😂 I had a pattern in mind but maybe after I see all of them I’ll want to change my mind and knit something else. When I opened Day 1, I SQUEE’d so hard in excitement. GORGEOUS! ❤ Now … off to open all those beautiful boxes of yarny goodness! I am actually making it in cotton & will probably wear it to the retreat for my 1 day pass since here in Texas you never know what our weather will be like 🤠

I can’t use fancy yarn since it is a gift, so I’m using Lion Brand Hue+ Me in the color ways Haze and Peacoat. Light on top and dark on the bottom. Thanks for the suggestion. 😊

Your Timbo Vest looks great. I have scrap yarn I am going to use. I am a new knitter so her goes. I am binding up the balls has we speak. I do have my first sock to finish at the toe before starting our sock knit along. My book is bond ready to go. I received my advent box. I don’t think I’m gonna be around family this Christmas so I am going to choose to open my advent one day at a time to keep me company.

The claymation cracks me up! I am going to knit the vest - can’t resist. While I would love to use your beautiful yarn, when I looked at the amount of yarn required for my size, I decided I’d better use a commercial budget friendly yarn for my first one. I am fairly certain there will be a 2nd one, so after I experiment with the first and work out the fit, I’ll splurge on the nice stuff and make another. Thinking about several possible color combos. 🤔 Will pray for your dad.🙏

I have a lot of scratchy wool and it's just it's absolutely gorgeous, but I'm too sensitive and I just don't know what to do with it. And I think I decided I'm gonna try to make a Timbo vest with it and wear it over turtlenecks. But I don't have any bulky weight. It's all worsted or smaller, and so I'll have to use your fancy spreadsheet to figure out how to use worsted when it cafor bulky. Hopefully I have enough yardage cause I'm not a small girl anymore.Thank you menopause.

I’ve had lovely people ask me to knit for them. I usually say “no, I’ll show You how to knit though “; but lately, out of my mouth has come: “Okay sure, but instead of paying me, donate to….and then I name several local charities. It’s made me feel good, and they’ve been happy. (I don’t check, that is between them & God).
