I would love to see Florence Pugh in knives out 3. She would be a killer addition to the cast.

It might be cool if Johnson created a "Moriarty" to Blanc's Holmes, a villain who is just as much of a genius as the hero.

One of the most exciting things about this franchise is the casts… I’m dying to see what all-star cast he’s gonna assemble next, there’s endless possibilities
@FestArc Жыл бұрын
Loved the first one. I enjoyed the second one as well but I didn't like it as much as the first. However, I appreciated that it was different in many ways from the first. I like the idea of this character kind of genre-hopping from film to film while still keeping it a Detective story. And genre-hopping franchises are rare.

To me, glass onion is sooo different form knives out but I’m sorry, Knives Out is incredible, and Glass Onion just cannot beat it. This movie was a little to self aware for me and I wasn’t a fan on the aesthetic or the story. Still enjoy watching it, but yeah nowhere close to the first

Really liked the first one, couldn't believe how much I didn't like glass onion after all the anticipation. The schemes and twists felt contrived and I could tell Norton was the bad guy soon after he showed up...
@Reelfilms1998 Жыл бұрын
For me its the opposite (although i loved both of them). The first one while still enjoyable was painfully obvious and the mystery wasn't really a mystery. As soon as Chris Evans character appeared i knew it was him. In Glass Onion I thought it could have been any of the cast that commited the murder. And all in all Glass Onion gave far more depth to its characters as a whole imo
@legendlalo Жыл бұрын
How can you say they were contrived and criticize the fact that you could tell Norton was the bad guy from the start when the whole movie is telling you “this shit is way simpler than you think it is”, it’s the opposite of contrived and of course Norton was the bad guy, cause it made sense
@eddiewang8623 Жыл бұрын
@@legendlalo those other characters' not really interesting storylines/motives are way too contrived to convince, well, at least me, that they would be the bad guy. For a murder mystery, I'd prefer not have guessed who the bad buy is until the very end, like in the first one.

I think Johnson HAS to make Knives Out 3 next based on the huge Netflix deal he signed. Netflix wants to strike while the franchise is hot and not wait 5 years to let Johnson make something else in between. KO3 will be his next project, probably out at the end of 2024, and I'm willing to bet it gets negotiated to make a fourth and final Knives Out movie after that.

maybe a crime where Blanc is framed or at least a suspect?

I'm sure Rian is exicited about doing Knives out 3. But he's also contracted to do it for netflix for big $. It probably has to be his next movie by contract.
@jeffreyroedel9804 Жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely, that's what I've been saying ha. There's no way he can make another movie before Knives Out 3 bc Netflix threw tons of money at him to make two movies.

Knives Out 3 pitch: I'd love for the suspects to be international diplomats and the murder causing an international incident if it's not solved? It'd up the stakes and bring in a more international cast that way too? Thoughts?
@mrswagg2ful Жыл бұрын
Amazing idea, you should write it yourself man
@koalafie9008 Жыл бұрын
Love the idea! But I don't think the stakes should be telegraphed. It's more inferred throughout rather than actually specified. Keeps the Rian Johnson style of clever use of camera work and dialogue to make the story more compelling on the rewatches.

This is all just Rian Johnson’s ingenious plan into making us all forget he made “The Last Jedi”
@nguyenkhanhhung91 Жыл бұрын
Not as good as the first one but still very good. Maybe I have a bias, especially in classical fashion and architecture. But objectively, there is a flaw in the ending. The main character was scared and shy in the beginning, but her character is totally different at the end. So it doesn't fit with the ending. If Rian Johnson focus on his artistic rather than political message, he can be a new Chris Nolan.

I've been hearing that they are going to make reference to Blanc's sexuality. I loved the first and second movie. But if the 3rd makes any reference of sexuality what-so-ever I will not watch it. Leave it alone. Who cares about the sexuality of him. Don't mess up a good thing. And I don't care who is upset with my comment. This is how I feel. Just make a good move.
