Chris Evans admitted that the worst part of the movie was when he avoided the dogs and kept them from getting near him, when all he wanted to do was play with them.

Yes, that has to be his best acting moment, to act he hates dogs 😅 but if you notice you can tell the dogs want to play with him not being aggressive but a fun fact he had the dogs toys in his pockets.

What's really hard to notice is that when Marta visits Ransom the morning that the clinic burns down, you see a row of glass jugs along a wall in the background just like the one he used to make his Molotov cocktail, and one of the ones in the middle of the row is missing. I have to credit Cinemawins for finding that one.

And I can see why: Evans is a tall drink of water if ever there was one, so it's only natural to be thirsty for that. In the context of this film and its characters though, I'd probably much prefer Blanc - I would totally little spoon for him whilst listening to him burbling sweet Nawlins nonsense in my ear between Sondheim lyrics. Initially when I watched this, I was kinda disappointed that they showed that Marta "did it", I was really looking forward to figuring out the mystery. But then the movie hit us with so many twists and turns, I never saw it coming! My absolute fave part was the fact that Fran said "Hugh did this" instead of "You did this" (which is what we all heard), I gasped out loud when I realized it! Other than that, the thirst for Chris was the same for me 😌 him as Ransom hits differently. Outfits were on pointttttt, he actually started a huge trend with that white sweater!

To keep the Chris Evans love going, you might want to check him out in the two Fantastic Four films (which he starred in as The Human Torch - You thought he was hot before!!! (Seb/Evans pun)- before taking on the role of Captain America), Street Kings (a cop thriller which he stars in alongside Keanu Reeves), and Sunshine (a cool albeit brutal sci-fi thriller from Danny Boyle with horror elements). I was disappointed in the newest version, it changes Poirot's essential character too much for my liking. Wasn't much thrilled at Suchet's version either - he makes an excellent Poirot but again, it did odd things to the character. Perhaps it doesn't help that my first experience was the 1974 version which has, as the kids say, a "stacked" cast and is wonderfully well performed by all, while the new one - I hate to say it, I can't remember anyone's performance well enough to comment on it. But Finney's final monologue (which I won't link as it spoils the entire, excellent story) is amazing. It was 8 pages long and he had to repeat his performance several times to get all the angles, while the rest of the cast had to remain uncomfortably still in their seats for continuity! It was also Christie's favorite adaptation, and she had been so disappointed by so many before it almost wasn't made! What I will give the latest movie though is that the sets were stunningly gorgeous, and the score equally so. Something about Michelle Pfeiffer's "Never Forget" in particular makes my heart ache with how beautiful it is.

This movie made me so happy I immediately dragged my mom to see it with me my second time. It is a perfect film. It was SUCH a great role choice for Evans in particular to knock Cap out of their head as a casting stereotype when they saw him. And I chuckled when you talked about trying to match Chris' outfit, and later when you specifically commented on his sweater - he legit set the internet on fire for hot men in shapeless chunky sweaters,it was EVERYWHERE for awhile right after the movie release. Fun facts I learned afterward: Chris had to eat a LOT of biscuits for that scene because of multiple takes, and for the dog scene, to make it look like they were aggressive, they loaded up his pockets with dog treats! It makes me laugh to think of a scene made specifically to demonstrate that even dogs hate this assholes was created from such a pure moment! 😂 Additionally, I struggled with the accent choice of Daniel Craig at first but far before the end I wasn't even noticing it anymore, and having seen this multiple times in and out of theater, I'd never change it. It's a charming, unique quirk of his particular "cozy murder mystery detective" that makes him uniquely him, like Poirot's fastidiousness and moustaches, or Miss Marple's knitting and self-deprecating manner. Quite glad you've watched this and very glad I got to see your reaction, wasn't aware you hadn't seen it yet but would have recommended it in a heartbeat based solely on your appreciation of Chris!

For me, I think it's the unexpected kindness and selfishness of a rich white man towards a non white working class woman; it's kinda healing our generational traumas, after all that they've done to us, just once, one of them thinking and acting like 5 years of their life (or whatever time that old man had left) isn't as valuable as 50 years of ours.

This movie is directed and written by Rian Johnson, who also directed and wrote Star Wars Episode 8(2 masterpieces imo, one of the best director)

I really liked Rian's first three films, but I thought The Last Jedi was terrible...it was a dull ripoff of Empire that paid no attention to the other films in the franchise and kept contradicting them. I'd worried he'd lost his touch, and then he comes out with not only the best film of his career, but one of the most fun films I've ever seen. I'm glad he's pursing more films with Blanc instead of more Star Wars.

If you haven’t already, but watch Snowpiercer. I know you’d love seeing Chris Evans bearded, strong, and in a different role than even this and the MCU.

The series Defending Jacob on Apple+ is an amazing dose of Chris Evans eye candy, not to mention an incredible story line. I could not stop watching and the ending left me with my jaw on the floor. You should definitely check it out! Love your your videos, I get so excited when a new one shows up. 👍 👍

What can I say that I haven't already said ad nauseam (no pun intended) about your constant enthusiasm during these viewings... so may I just say that if you do wish to continue down the Evans road, I hope one day you try Gifted.

A lot of people laugh at the accent Daniel Craig uses in this film, but the truth is, its a legitimate real world accent. One of the literally thousands of regional American accents. Specifically, its the accent of rural Kentucky, specifically in the southern region of the state along the border of Tennessee. Which makes the "CSI: KFC" comment even funnier.

What I love about this movie is how everything is explained. Sure Marta can have the house, it wasn't like it was a childhood home for the family.. he got it after his kids were all grown. The daughter was independently wealthy and had her own company. The son he truly believe he was holding back. His daughter in law was ripping them off. All in all the family will be fine without the money.

This was probably the last movie I saw in theater before everything blew up. It was amazing. Your review was almost as enjoyable. For me, Daniel Craig’s performance was incredible. I’m 61. I’ve grown up with all the Bond movies and far and away Daniel is my favorite. He was the first actor who I could believe was a true license to kill assassin. To see him in this character… I had no idea he had those acting chops. The other thing I loved about this was how they let the actors be old. Jamie Lee and Don Johnson were hot as balls in their day. No need to try to hid the years. They just acted and were brilliant.

This one was joy to watch. For more Chris definitely fantastic 4, event if they are not that good films, but it's fun to watch. Would love to see you react to Kingsman (1st and 2nd). One of all time favourite films.

My favourite detail in this movie is the moment when Blanc and Marta meet. The VERY first thing that happens, even before they really speak to each other - he glances down at her shoes.
